During an appearance on CNN's Reliable Sources Sunday, disgraced CBS Evening News anchor Dan Rather did his best to excuse the criticism of CNBC’s Republican presidential debate and instead chose to blame Republicans for fueling such hatred towards the press. While Rather briefly admitted that CNBC"didn’t do it perfectly" the liberal journalist quickly blamed the GOP presidential candidates whose "constituency loves attacks on the press. So the moderators open themselves to some criticism." -Rather continued to dismiss the substance of the criticism against CNBC's biased debate and argued that it was just a made up issue by conservatives:

The Elvira Show. CBS filmed a pilot for the Elvira show hot off the heels of the movie "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark" though the shows plot line has nothing to do with the movie. I was lucky enough to actually be at the taping of this pilot. The show starred Cassandra Peterson as Elvira and Katherine Helmond as Aunt Minerva. The writing is witty and chocked full of innuendoes and one liners that are so bad they are great! Too bad it was never picked up.

Marco Rubio embarked on something of a post-debate victory tour today, visiting six national morning shows to reflect on last night's proceedings. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio had an impressive showing at Wednesday night's third GOP presidential debate. Rubio defended his Senate attendance record after an attack from his former mentor and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. He also took aim at Hillary Clinton, saying the former secretary of state lied about Benghazi to try to help President Obama's re-election campaign. El Trumpo continued his attack on Ben Carson for his taking the lead in the Iowa polls while he joined CBS’ “Face the Nation.” He tried to explain that he didn’t intend his comments about Carson’s faith as an insult, but rather that he just didn’t know anything about the denomination. Some have said that it’s smart of his bringing up the subject as it’ll cause some doubt among Evangelicals in Iowa. CBS has refused to run advertising for Truth, the film starring Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford that revisits a painful episode in the network's past involving a discredited 2004 news story on former President George W. Bush's military service record. CBS has denounced the movie, which opens Friday, as a disservice to the public and journalists. I did not see the CBS 60 Minutes interview with President Obama; so I set about going to look for it. Before going to CBS’s website I stopped by U-Tube to see if there was an encapsulated segment. Fortuitously I discovered this presentation. While it is not the entire interview, it is well worth the watch for greater foxhole-morale value. Not only is the commentary quite funny, it also provides further evidence that there are many people who understand the situation and feel the same way.
