“Cases” and “Case Counts” are incredibly misleading, and should not be used to make decisions, for two main reasons. 1. PCR tests cannot distinguish between live virus and dead, including dead fragments leftover after your body has successfully fought off the virus—you’re fine. 2. Case Counts are being used pseudo-scientifically to give an indication of the spread and trajectory of the virus, but without knowing how many currently have it or already recovered, it is meaningless. 1.
