Whenever I see ‘the Hill’, I’m reminded of the hill on the feedlot that I would haul out every year, load after load in the manure spreader, to the farm fields during the late fall or early spring.

It was a bi-weekly thing (if the crap wasn’t froze solid) to scrape the concrete feedfloor with the loader tractor, pushing up into an ever larger ‘hill’.

But at least the feedlot hill was good for fertilizer.

My wife is 67, still has her wonderful figure, and glorious 3’ 8” long hair (yes, I measure it once in a while) that is not dyed and is about 10% gray, evenly dispersed, giving it natural highlights.

She wears no paint and fake eyelashes, but if she did, and dressed like Ms Conway, complete with high heels, she could make men lust. Which is precisely why she doesn’t do those things.

And the only couch my wife might put her legs on is her own.

When my two older siblings (one my sis) and I were elementary school age my dad bought two pair of boxing gloves. Our living room was the ‘ring’. He stressed defense, and no throwing ‘haymakers’.

You compared Kathryn Kuhlman to Jesus Christ. IMO, you need do some serious research.

In John 20:23, Jesus is shown commissioning his disciples, telling them what they are to be doing: remitting sins. They did this by baptizing repentant souls in the name of Jesus Christ. Whoever doesn’t believe and obey that will still have their sins retained. That’s first and foremost.

About 3,000 converts had their sins remitted on the day of Pentecost.

In John 5, Jesus enters a scene full of sick people, yet only heals the man that had been impotent for 38 years. Proof of that is the fact that the Pharisees were mad at Jesus for healing one man on the Sabbath.

While there times he healed everyone in his presense, during his 3 year ministry there were only 3 people raised from the dead. Healing and resurrecting everybody while he was here would have made everyone place their hope in this life.

There were no misfires. No delays in his healing. One man was given partial eyesight to see if he would be satisfied with it, and to show God’s power to do a little or a lot.

His apostles didn’t heal every person. Paul had a health issue that God didn’t heal. God has reasons for his decisions.

The so-called faith healers have been shown to be frauds over and over.

Simon the sorcerer was believed to be the great power of God. In 2 Corinthians 11, Paul warns of Satan transformed into an angel of light, and his ministers into ministers of righteousness.

They are amazingly convincing, and will even preach Jesus. But it will be a different Jesus. They will not remit sins, as per the instructions Jesus Christ, which were first instituted in Acts 2:38.

My date ignored that, and as we kept walking to the door my date said, “we don’t drink liquor, we just like to dance”. I just stayed quiet, knowing my gyrating at times like Tom Jones was certainly not Christ-like.

Two years later I wouldn’t be doing that any more, and I wouldn’t be dressing like Tom either. Married, (not to the Baptist date), God would be directing my path to his ways.

That’s the thing about what I call ‘cool cat church’: Weak on doctrine and holiness, strong on sex appeal.

Weird doesn’t come close. It’s heartbreaking to see those two infants in that situation.

The story of Joseph in Genesis 37 tells us all we need to know about the appearance of Jesus Christ: the coat of many colors.

Joseph existed before coming to the promised land. It was after coming there we read of him being given the coat of many colors and interacting with his brothers, who quickly decided that they hated him.

When Jesus (Savior of every color) appeared, he showed great wisdom, and condemned hypocracy; which made his fellow hebrews angry and jealous.

The pit Joseph’s brothers threw him in was symbolic of Jesus’ death and burial. Joseph’s coat was splattered with goats blood, and shown to Joseph’s father Jacob; which symbolized Jesus ascending to heaven, to show himself God the Father.

Like someone said years ago (maybe here on FR): People watch it, and get the same thing as Saturday Night Fever or Footloose: mesmerized by people that practiced, practiced, and practiced; re-shot, re-shot, and re-shot dancing scenes.

And the film edits make it like they just walked in and go at it like they were born that good.
