Ozzie is a very good friend of mine. He is one of those people whom everyone loves. He is a positive Christian man, who affirms in the face of adversity, that "It's all good." Ozzie is facing a battle with lung cancer. He is having surgery today for a mass in his Gall Bladder. Then after he heals from that they will take the spots off his lung. I know that a beautiful prayer thread with lots of neat graphics would do wonders for him. So, I'm asking you to help me.

Muslim Sitcom to DebutMuslims Hope New Show Breaks Cultural Barriers [Excerpts] Raja Musharaff is a Pakistani Muslim exchange student coming to America this fall. He's not coming to join a terrorist cell, open a kabob shop or become a taxi driver. On the contrary, as one of the lead roles on "Aliens in America," which premiers Oct. 1 on the CW Network, Raja is more than an amicable 16-year-old; he also emerges as a moral compass to his wayward host family in Wisconsin. "We wanted to bring a character who had a sense of his own faith, and who had a...

FALWELL CONFIDENTIAL Insider weekly newsletter to The Moral Majority Coalition and The Liberty Alliance http://www.moralmajority.com From: Jerry Falwell Date: August 18, 2006 UCLA, Cornell and Liberty In 1971, I started Liberty University (then Lynchburg Baptist College) because of a dream I believe God planted in my heart. In our first year, we had 154 students and four faculty members, including me. Many people said my dream was an impossible one. But I continued to believe that God had directed me to initiate an institution of higher learning where academic excellence, athletic competition at the highest level and Judeo-Christian values could...

There is urgent need for prayer ASAP for a small boy (5 or 6) who fell off a farm Gator and was run over. He has been life-flighted to Huntington, WV, which means he's in trouble. Please pray now for his recovery. He is a twin and the next door neighbor to my son. His name is Caleb. Thank you.

Please be in prayer for our LadyX. She will be undergoing surgery tomorrow morning(5/24/06). Any of you who know LadyX, know that she has been a member of our FR Family for a long time and is very much loved and respected. She has inspired us, made us laugh, given us some of the wisest of advice, wowed us with tales of her life in the Marines, and shared her childhood memories of an idealic time. Some will recall the sailing of the Mobius, or the time on the tropical island. We have shared many adventures. Now, it's time to...

Asking for prayers for a young girl named, Leah, who has a persistant cough. Ordinarily this would not be a concern, but this young lady has Cystic Fibrosis. She is one of four girls in her family and three of them have the disease. The good news is that they have all been singing Southern Gospel Music since they were big enough to hold a mike. Because of the singing, their lung capacity has stayed in the normal range. So, a persistant cough becomes a worry for her family and they have asked for prayers that the cough will clear...

CHARLESTON - A disgrunted West Virginia Republican elector said Tuesday he likely will cast his Electoral College ballot for President Bush after all because he won West Virginia by such a wide margin."The margin of victory was persuasive, no question about it," said South Charleston Mayor Richie Robb, who had repeatedly said he might not vote for Bush because he disagrees with his economic and foreign policies. With 1,025 of 1,965 precencts reporting, Bush had 55 percent of the vote compared to 44 percent for Democrat John Kerry, 1 percent for Independent Ralph Nader and less than 1 percent for...

Dear xxxxxx:Thank you for contacting my office regarding the Federal Election Integrity Act. It was good to hear your views on this issue. The integrity of the electoral process is at the center of successful democracy. Congressman Henry Hyde introduced HR 4530, the Federal Election Integrity Act to ensure that only American citizens are voting in Federal elections. The bill would require that state governments check photo ID during both registration and at polling places. Currently, HR 4530 is pending in the House Judiciary Committee. The Federal Paper Ballot Act should the bill come to the floor of the House for a...

Business wise, It has been quite a day here at General Conference. It was announced early in the morning that our entire day would be focused on the petitions and legislation relating to homosexuality. No matter what side of the fence you sit on as you think about this particular issue if you have a love for God and a deep and abiding love for your neighbor, this is the kind of day that breaks your heart. If you love the church and its people, today is a day that hurts because the church we love and the body we...

Our great-grandson, J.D. will be undergoing surgery tomorrow to install a shunt in his brain to drain the cysts that occupy the right half of his brain. J.D. was born with nothing but a mass of cysts instead of healthy brain matter. Last month an MRI showed that the left side of his brain has regenerated. They believe that draining the cysts on the right side may allow the right side to regenerate. J.D. is a miracle baby already. He wasn't supposed to live. I am asking for prayers for J.D. as he goes into surgery tomorrow and prayers that...

Calling all prayer warriors to pray for a young mother in West Virginia. Her name is Brenda and she has breast cancer. She is a committed Christian and believes in healing prayers. She has kept a faithful attitude. I have asked for prayers for her before, but I am posting this as a separate thread so that I can present it to her in a hard copy. Thank you and God bless you.

I have just received a call from a friend asking me to locate a United Methodist Church in Vernal, Utah. I can't find one listed anywhere in that city. My friend is desparate with worry about her sister who lives there and is in need of Christian help. Her sister is very ill and has three little boys. With no extended family there she has no one to help her except her husband. She is probably dying because of lack of blood transfusions and she has Pneumonia, yet she is at home having been discharged from a hospital in Salt...

My team of two arrived at the Mason Co. courthouse at 12:30 Saturday to set up our sound and hang our flags. We accepted posters from the school children and taped them to the doors to be judged. The ceremony began at 1:00 p.m. with prayer led by self. Then a young lady who is competing in the Miss West Va. beauty pageant sang the National Anthem. Then the children led the crowd of 50-60 people in the Pledge of Allegiance. We brought forward all the veterans to be honored and thanked. We also thanked the first responders in our community.Our...

This rally was my brainstorm on Tuesday. Take some advice from me. Never try to put together a rally in four days. I arrived at the courthouse in Point Pleasant at 12:30 and found the streets pretty empty, which is normal on Saturday. I took out my flag balloon and tied it to my antennea. I stuck flag clings to my car windows, put two patriotic CDs in my changer, opened all the car windows and blasted the stereo. A lady arrived with her two grandchildren and flags. After a few minutes, my friend and FR lurker, Kathy arrived with...

Christians, this is a heads up about the defacing of Gideon Bibles by a group called The Freedom From Religion Foundation. They are gluing a label inside of Gideon Bibles in motels across the country. The labels attack the Bible and it's words. They have a web site if you are interested and have a strong stomach. I learned of this at a Gideon dinner this evening and came home to check out the people doing this. They are atheists and humanists who support abortion and all those so-called progressive ideas. After seeing one of the Bibles with the label...

Below is a reply I received from my son-in-law after I sent him an e-mail that I felt justified the war with Iraq. I have written a reply but haven't mailed it yet. I would like some additional ammunition from Freepers. I'm sending him the article about the liberal woman in the British Parliament who is supporting Blair. She's been to Iraq and knows what is going on. My points are: I was also afraid of kamakazi pilots in 1941 who would fly their planes into ships and perhaps into my home, but isn't it amazing how civilized they became...
