The State Department has a travel warning to American's suggesting the demonstrations are regarding economic issues. A holocaust documentary about unreleased Alfred Hitchcock footage of the liberation of Nazi concentration camps aired in 15 countries Monday, as part of the international Holocaust Remembrance Day commemorations. HBO’s “Night Will Fall” includes harrowing footage captured by the legendary filmmaker, who recorded the grim scene that met Allied troops at Bergen-Belsen, Dachau and Auschwitz in the spring of 1945. Initially, Hitchcock together with media baron Sidney Bernstein were commissioned by the British government to make “German Concentration Camps Factual Survey,” a documentary that was intended to show Germans the horrors of Nazi brutality.

Former public defender Adnan a-Din among seven-strong cell of Islamic State supporters arrested by Israel for attempting to join terror organization; charged with planning to kill security officials and Druze. Seven Israeli Arabs have been charged with membership of an illegal organization for attempting to join Islamic State, it was cleared for publication Sunday. Among the seven is Adnan Jamil Ala a-Din, a 39-year-old former public defender from Nazareth, who has branded himself the "Islamic State chief of staff in Palestine."

NORMAN, Okla. – A spate of mysterious booms has been shaking a city in central Oklahoma. Oklahoma Geological Survey research seismologist Austin Holland says a series of thunderous booms rattled the Norman area at 11:19 a.m. Friday and that numerous more were reported in the same place around the same time Thursday.

Palestinian Arabs in Gaza and elsewhere openly celebrated the massacre of Jewish worshippers at a synagogue in Jerusalem Tuesday morning. Hamas hailed the attack as “revenge” for the death of an Arab bus driver in Jerusalem a day earlier, a death that was ultimately determined to be a suicide. Hamas official Mushir al-Masri even managed to commission or otherwise obtain a grotesque political cartoon (left) praising the “heroic” synagogue attack, which he promptly posted on Twitter.

Iranian sites claim large explosion heard 'several kilometers away', shattered windows as far as 15 kilometers from blast. An explosion at Iran's Parchin nuclear plant has killed at least two people, according to Iranian media reports. The plant is located close to the Iranian capital Tehran, and the explosion has triggering speculation over a possible sabotage or assassination. The semi-official Isna news agency claimed the explosion took place after a fire erupted in an "explosive materials production unit".

A Dutch former top banker who came under fire for taking a large pay-off after the nationalisation of his troubled bank was found dead along with his wife and daughter on Saturday in what police called a family tragedy. Jan Peter Schmittmann, 57, ran the domestic operations of Dutch bank ABN Amro between 2003 and 2007 and was widely criticised for landing an 8 million euro pay-off after the bank's collapse and subsequent nationalisation.
