I'm not sure about Jehovah's Witnesses. There are some groups that have religious exemptions, though. I think Christian Scientists may be one, but I am not sure if I have the right group or not. Some children also have medical exemptions if they or a sibling reacted badly to a previous vacination.
Re Fox:I don't know what the point of reporting that was. It seems it will only serve to bring embarrassment to a family that is already hurting. Does it add anything to the current case?
Good information above though. Thanks for the ping.
He reminds me of my son. My son has Asperger's and is a great kid, but doesn't pick up on social cues well. On my support lists Nick Zitzmann was a hot topic. Most of the parents thought he was treated cruelly as well. Compared to the usual treatment given to contestants, I would have to disagree. After Simon's initial remarks, I think the judges picked up that there was something not quite right and backed off. I had to admire Nick's attitude, though.
I'm disappointed that this isn't in breaking news. I had to do a search to find this. Even then I only found it on the third attempt. This seems extremely impotant to me. Apparently not to Fox news, though. I haven't heard it even mentioned.
My understanding is that they are different. In fact, I believe the emails to the 16 year old page were in 2005, and the IM's were earlier than that. Sorry if that is wrong. There are some timelines at Strata-sphere that indicate that.
I think they may fly in airplanes. I know they use public transportation. I used to see them visiting D.C. often. It's not that they think technology is evil in and of itself. They just try to minimize what they believe are its negative effects.
It is much less likely that they will ever advocate violence in self-defense. Pacifism is one of their primary doctrines.
I want to be on it also. I do not post much, but I do read everything. You all post so fast, that by the time I think of something to say, one of you has said it already. :)
Interesting thread that has managed to stay in News. A poster on this thread says an unsubstantiated rumor is floating around Durham that a settlement is planned.
