    Once again an educated person attempts to cloud an issue: This time with the 9th Amendment which reads.......

    Amendment IX - Construction of Constitution. Ratified 12/15/1791.
    The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.


    After which Article VI of the Constitution is misquoted to give the appearance that a treaty trumps your rights.

    Article VI. - Debts, Supremacy, Oaths
    (paragraph 1 skipped)
    This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.
    (paragraph 3 skipped)


    This only says that the US Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and treaties made by the US trump state law.
    The key is"Constitution or Laws of any State".

    This is why it is imperative that we insist that public schools teach American children the Declaration of Independence, the full US Constitution and emphasize the Bill of Rights. We can all see that the 9th amendment was used only in an attempt to embarrass people into silence.

    While I would rather see the two former Border Patrol agents pardoned, Congress would have to amend the constitution.

    Article II. - The Executive Branch
    Section 2 - Civilian Power over Military, Cabinet, Pardon Power, Appointments
    (paragraph 1)
    The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.


    Can we the people require our representatives to read the Constitution of the United States?
    If we can, we should. This way they would not make themselves, and us, laughing stocks.

    ...."recent study shows methane produced from animals (cattle, sheep, etc..) to be more of a problem with "greenhouse emissions" than burning of fossils fuels in what is so called the "greenhouse effect"."

    Saw the same piece, but keep in mind, creating CO2 by burning fossils fuels is only bad if industrialized nations do it. We don't want to stop underdeveloped nations from messing up the environment 'cause thats "not fair". I guess they should be allowed to create problems until they get industrialized.

    A few things to think about....
    The evil of CO2
    Each human contributes 724 lbs/year to the atmosphere
    (caused by breathing)
    The US contributes 109 million (US) tons/year
    The world contributes 2.21 billion (US) tons/year
    The population of the developed nations has remained relatively stable for the last half century.
    (this CO2 caused by breathing only)
    In the last half century the world population has gone from approximately 2 billion to about 6.1 billion.
    Most of that increase is in underdeveloped countries
    (per the UN, the only growth [4 billion people] was in undeveloped countries) Undeveloped countries still burn old fields to get them ready for planting.
    (Several years ago there was a major fire in Mexico from just such a fire that was causing respiratory distress north of Oklahoma.)
    Kyoto protocols only look at industrial pollution.
    Then there are minor factors like the temperature of the surface of the sun (which warms the Earth.)
    The Earth's locations in it's eccentric orbit
    The molecular density of the area of space between the Sun and the Earth
    The additional heat generated by the body mass of the additional 4 billion humans in the world... (I'm not smart enough to figure it out, but I bet someone is)
    The hot air generated by politicians (left, right, and center)
    And probably 100's more factors that I have never heard of.

    And now that the Global Warming has eased off here in Texas, I guess I'll get in my Jeep and drive into town and get some groceries.

    Then let each descendant of a slave ship captain that brought them here apologize.
    Then let each descendant of a former slave owner apologize.
    Then ask them if they are Americans or African-Americans.
    If they respond "I am an American", shake their hand and say "I am too."
    If they say "I am an African-American", see how they respond to an offer to be repatriated to their native land.
    I've never owned a slave and therefore owe apologies to no one!

    Once again, the AP (Anti-American Press) through their fellow travelers at the decaying NYT proves that most of its reporters are the failed products of liberal education.

    "opposition from traditional U.S. allies in the European Union as well as from developing nations....."

    The author mentions only five countries by name. Russia, China, Germany, France, and Australia. Now I'm not real bright, but the last time I looked at a map, only Germany and France are in the EU.

    Every time the author mentions people disagreeing he throws in something like "and many other EU nations" while in the one area where he/she/it says someone agrees with us the term is "and other countries." Obviously not objective reporting, not that we expect it from these anti American sources.

    A final note:
    If you look back at American history, the record of Europe being our friend is very sketchy.
    France has not helped us in a war since the American Revolution, and they deposed the monarchy that helped us.(Although we have bailed them out several times.)
    Germany fought on the side of the British during the American Revolution (Referred to in history books as Hessian soldiers.) And was part of the opposition in every other major war.

    So would someone explain where this "Traditional" stuff comes from!

    The American Communist Litigators Union says and does a lot of things because "We The People" are lazy stupid and ignorant. The immigration issue has been confused with the Naturalization issue.

    The pertinent sections of the US Constitution are:
    Article 1, Section 8 which among other things stipulates:
    "To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization......

    I don't see anything about immigration which takes place before a person can be naturalized.
    Amendment X to the US Constitution which says:
    "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

    Sure sounds like that authority belongs to the people since it is not reserved by United States, and the States haven't stepped up to the plate.

    Of course I'm not a lawyer and probably don't understand the nuances involved in something that appears to be this clear and unambiguous!

    A couple of interesting points....

    Every time he related something to a black woman, or to Hispanic women. Should we assume that where not mentioned he was referring to white women? I really don't know.

    He seemed to imply that this was strictly the woman's choice. Do you suppose it ever occurred to him that with the number of self seeking, self serving women out there, many men will go to the animal shelter and get a female dog if they want loyalty and companionship rather than one of the carrier ones in his interview?

    The first thing to look at is that the article has an Associated Press tag on it. Or as thinking people say, The Anti-American Press.

    Second, they (AP) went looking for this peasant woman.
    I can say peasant because if he had to come to the United States illegally to find work to help his family they were way below the Mexican middle-class.
    She must have absolute moral authority because her son is dead (MSM101).

    Third, the AP thought this was news worthy because it is anti-american and other than the weather, it's a slow news week.

    Last point... The AP is synonymous with biased reporting!

    I won't be too critical of the British, but it seems to me that the US Constitution's Amendment 8 prohibition against "cruel and unusual punishment" had something to do with the British actions before they were expelled from the United States.

    BISBEE — Mexican President Felipe Calderon yesterday voiced his “most energetic protest” against the shooting death of a young illegal Mexican immigrant an illegal alien by a Naco-based Border Patrol agent on Friday and expressed frustration with a lack of information in the case.

    According to information from the Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector headquarters, an agent from the Naco Border Patrol station encountered a group of six men and one woman crossing the desert near the Paul Spur limestone plant at approximately 3 p.m. Friday.

    That sounds very clear. We have a federal law enforcement agent and an illegal alien in close proximity.


    "As the agent attempted to detain the group, he was reportedly hit or pushed by Dominguez-Rivera before taking out his gun and shooting."

    “The officer was in fear of his life and took the actions he deemed appropriate,” Dannels said.


    The illegal alien tried to resist arrest!
