The DHS has been releasing illegal immigrants with violent criminal records back into local U.S. communities, where they have often gone on to commit violent crimes against American citizens, according to new disclosures by a leading lawmaker and local law enforcement agencies. Rep. Matt Salmon (R., Ariz.) and law enforcement officials petitioned the Obama administration to end a policy that enables illegal immigrants with criminal records to be released back into the US. Arizona law enforcement officials announced on Tuesday that three illegal aliens with violent criminal records had been released by DHS and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) back...

Officials reported big delays Saturday at New York and Washington airports because of an air traffic control issue. Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport reported that a computer outage was limiting flight arrivals and departures there as well as Washington's Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport. The problem also affected flights leaving New York’s LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy airports, according to FlightAware’s online tracker. By 12:30 p.m. departure delays were at 1 hour and expected to grow, PIX11 News reported. Delays out of Newark International Airport were at 30 minutes and decreasing at that particular time, the station said,...

Dr. Robert Epstein says search results from Google influenced voters in a study (one in India and 4 experiments in the US). Clayton: Members of the study were presented with fake search results and then negative news stories were dropped into those results and it had a profound effect on the way in which they voted. Dr. Robert Epstein: When biased rankings are shown to people, if one candidate is made to look better than another, it shifts voting preferences of those voters who are undecided. It is a big shift. The biggest shift was in moderate Republicans. They are...

An illegal immigrant in Lee County, Florida, allegedly slaughtered three people and an unborn child in a shocking act of violence that left behind a crime scene that was “almost unimaginable,” police said. The suspect, Brian Omar Hyde, has been charged in the killings of Dorla Pitts, 37, her 17-year-old daughter Starlette Pitts and 19-year-old Michael Kelly, Jr., WBBH-TV reported. Police only said the victims were hit several times with some type of sharp object. Hyde reportedly crossed the southern border into the U.S. earlier this year. Police said he had blood on his clothes at the time of his...

Real-estate mogul Donald Trump is crushing his GOP presidential rivals — both in polls and when it comes to Google searches. On Tuesday, Google Trends published an interactive county-by-county map of US searches for Republican candidates. And Trump, by far, appears to be drawing the most interest in almost every state. His color code, red, sweeps the country, from Alaska to Florida. The one exception to Trump's apparent dominance, interestingly, is in Wisconsin, where local Gov. Scott Walker leads many of the counties. No other Republican candidate holds his or her home state against Trump as clearly. The overall results...

Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said the nuclear inspection organization is barred from revealing to the United States any details of deals it has inked with Tehran to inspect its contested nuclear program going forward, according to regional reports. Recent disclosures by Iran indicate that the recently inked nuclear accord includes a series of side deals on critical inspections regimes that are neither public nor subject to review by the United States. Reza Najafi, Iran’s ambassador and permanent envoy to the IAEA, stated over the weekend that no country is permitted to know the details of...

Why won’t the Obama administration call Fort Hood Islamic Terrorism? Why aren’t they calling Chattanooga Islamic Terrorism? Because it’s disrespect to Muslims and Islam is about peace: ARUTZ SHEVA – Homeland Security chief Jeh Johnson announced the policy this past Friday at Aspen Institute’s annual security forum in Washington, D.C. He explained that though it was a Muslim terrorist who shot to death four unarmed Marines in Tennessee two weeks ago, the government will call the attack, and other similar ones, “violent extremism” and not “Islamic terrorism” – out of respect for the Muslim community. Johnson said it is “critical”...

A Texas congressman has introduced legislation that would halt the resettlement of United Nations-certified refugees in the U.S. pending a full study on the program’s impact on the nation’s economy and national security. Rep. Brian Babin, R-Texas, introduced the Resettlement Accountability National Security Act, or HR 3314, which places an “immediate suspension on allowing immigrants into the United States under the refugee resettlement program, until the Government Accountability Office (GAO) completes a thorough examination of its costs on federal, state and local governments.” According to US government data, nearly 500,000 new immigrants have come to the U.S. under the resettlement...

Tuesday at the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on the Iran nuclear agreement, Secretary of State John Kerry admitted he does not have “access” to the secret deal between the IAEA and Iran on the enforcement of inspections and has only been briefed on the agreements when pressed by Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX). Partial transcript: KERRY: “No I haven’t seen it. I’ve been briefed on it. And –” POE: “–But you haven’t read it, you haven’t seen it.” KERRY: “No because it’s in the possession of the IAEA.” POE: “Are you going to read it?” KERRY: “We don’t have access...

“Much like the Declaration of Independence, he’s laid a case against the crown,” talk-show host Mark Levin said on his show Tuesday evening. “He’s showing the institutional corruption of John Boehner.” He continued, “John Boehner is Nancy Pelosi’s favorite Republican in the House of Representatives. So, while the Democrats should vote to remove John Boehner, many will vote to keep him because they like what he’s doing. They like what he’s doing to advance Obama’s agenda. We have a very brave member of Congress, Meadows, who has said enough is enough. I would encourage you to call your members of...

A plan being drafted for closing the Guantanamo military prison will call for the transfer to US prisons of possibly dozens of inmates deemed too dangerous to release, President Barack Obama's counterterrorism adviser said, setting up a fight with congressional opponents. Outlining the White House proposal that will soon be sent to Congress, Lisa Monaco, one of Obama's top national-security aides, told the Aspen Security Conference on Saturday that the US would step up the transfers of 52 detainees cleared for resettlement in other countries. The plan calls for the rest of the inmates at the US naval base in...

While focusing their resources and political energy on the NSA’s mass collection of metadata, privacy advocates have neglected the most dangerous institutionalized violations of the Fourth Amendment: administrative subpoenas. Now a United States District Court judge in Texas has ruled for the Drug Enforcement Agency that an administrative subpoena may be used to search medical records. It was inevitable, given the march towards illegally nullifying the Fourth Amendment through use of these judge-less bureaucrat warrants authorized by Congress. Administrative subpoenas are issued unilaterally by government agencies -- meaning without approval by neutral judges -- and without probable cause stated under...

To my Catholic friends, while I am loathe to criticize that which they hold dear, there comes a time when silence is the wrong answer. When Pope Francis first surfaced, I thought he had the potential to be a great Pope. But with the potential of greatness, also comes the opportunity of infamy. Pope Francis is a Marxist and embodies many, many principles that I stand against, not only as a Constitutional Conservative, but as a Christian. This last week just solidified my uneasiness concerning this Pope. The Bolivian President, Evo Morales (who Trevor Loudon and I have long contended...

The mayor of Poway is defending the city's decision to dump more than 500,000 gallons of what appeared to be perfectly good drinking water. "I think it's a shame," said resident Helen Shelden. "I think the city should've prepared better for it." "It was a perfect storm of conservation and heat," said Poway Mayor Steve Vaus. Vaus said Poway residents conserved so much water -- by 45 percent in May -- that the water just sat in the Blue Crystal Reservoir. Heat eventually got to it and there was a chemical imbalance of Chloramine. Because of state regulations, Vaus told...
