  • Solzhenitsyn and Putin By Joseph Pearce|March 15th, 2022

Discussing the cooling of relations between Russia and the West, Solzhenitsyn’s analysis of the history of the previous fifteen years highlighted the sharpness with which he viewed contemporary events. When he had returned to Russia he discovered that the West was “practically being worshipped”. This was caused “not so much by real knowledge or a conscious choice, but by the natural disgust with the Bolshevik regime and its anti-Western propaganda”. The positive view of many Russians towards the West began to sour following “ NATO bombings of Serbia”: “It’s fair to say that all layers of Russian society were deeply...

What is the price of liberty? She's back! Ayaan Hirsi Ali came back to Holland, and immediately started yet another political and media frenzy. The current drama centres on Ayaan's safety. Former MP and MEP for the liberal party D66, Lousewies van der Laan, has her say. Since criticising Islam for condoning violence against women, she has been on the run from Islamist extremists trying to kill her. The warning note was attached to the body of murdered cineaste Theo van Gogh with a knife. Ayaan has had an eventful year. In the summer of 2006 she had to escape...

The Approaching Chinese Cyber Storm By Frederick W. Stakelbeck FrontPageMagazine.com | July 29, 2005 On numerous occasions in the past, China’s authoritarian regime has publicly stated that the U.S. is its ideological enemy. Comments made by Chinese defector Chen Yonglin to Australian authorities in June support the theory that China’s leaders view the U.S. as their main adversary. “The U.S. is considered by the Chinese Communist Party as the largest enemy, the major strategic rival. The U.S. occupies a unique place in China’s diplomacy,” noted Yonglin. With inflammatory statements like those noted by Chen Yonglin, it is easy to understand...

ROME, March 23, 2005 — The U.S. military command in Iraq has blocked two Italian policemen from examining the car in which an Italian intelligence agent was shot to death in Baghdad, a newspaper said Wednesday. Corriere della Sera said that the policemen were about to leave when the Italian Embassy in Baghdad received an order from the U.S. command on Monday to abort the mission for security concerns. The embassy in Baghdad reportedly alerted Rome authorities, who called off the trip. The car, a Toyota Corolla, is reportedly still in American hands, at Baghdad airport where it was originally...
  • Dodging The Nuclear 911(How Much Of This Is Spurious & Sensationalistic?)

Dodging the Nuclear 9/11 by Howard Bloom Osama bin Laden may soon have his hands on three Agosta 90B next-generation stealth submarines capable of carrying sixteen sea-to-land cruise missiles each. Those missiles can deliver atomic warheads. And Osama, I suspect, will have access to the forty nuclear warheads constructed by Pakistan. Washington and New York, two primary targets for Al Qaeda, are near bodies of water from which these nuclear-tipped missiles can be launched. So are many other major American cities. Here are the skeletal details: In 1994, DCN, the government-owned company that builds France's naval vessels, agreed to help...

Ann Coulter was on Scarborough tonight and it doesn't appear that anyone has mentioned it(If I'm mistaken delete this thread moderator)... It was better than yesterday's Hannity & Colmes appearance which only had her with one segment(rip off), this had two segments separated by a commercial break.
  • Heart of smugness (This Cries Out For Refutation)

Heart of smugness Unlike Belgium, Britain is still complacently ignoring the gory cruelties of its empire Maria Misra Tuesday July 23, 2002 The Guardian So the Belgians are to return to the Heart of Darkness in an attempt finally to exorcise their imperial demons. Stung by another book cataloguing the violence and misery inflicted by King Leopold's empire on the Congo in the late 19th and early 20th century, the state-funded Royal Museum for Central Africa in Brussels has commissioned a group of historians to pass authoritative judgment on accusations of genocide: forced labour, systematic rape, torture and murder of...
  • Web Site Taken Over By Chinese hackers

    04/13/2001 3:43:02 AM PDT · by TwilightDog · 4+ views
Here is an American web site that has been taken over by Chinese hackers: www.iplexmarin.com. I found this site as it was listed in a Washington Post article that I found on the DrudgeReport: http://washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A13431-2001Apr12.html One thing that particularly got my attention here is one notable photo. On the bottom left hand side, there is a photo of a military officer with his hand on his handgun holster, and he is standing in front of multi-ringed structure. Someone suggested to me that it was a model of an experimental engine of some type. Any ideas anyone?
