  • Adjustable gas plug: M1 Garand

I'm looking for feedback regarding adjustable gas plugs for an M1 Garand. M2 Ball and equivalents, like most other ammo, isn't all that easy to come by but I've been able to find plenty of 150gr 30-06 though it's generally at higher pressures than M2. My understanding is that an adjustable gas plug will allow me to dial in adjustments for modern, higher pressure ammo, heavier bullet weights, etc. If anyone has experience with, and recommendations regarding, these plugs I'd be happy to hear them.
  • Pinfire Revolver

I was cleaning out a client's closet today and noticed a small pistol grip sticking out of a rag. Inside was a small revolver with a folding trigger and a hammer that looked, at first glance, as if it belonged on a percussion cap piece. After a little more looking it became obvious that it was a pinfire revolver. The cylinder is stamped "The Savety American Model 1879". On the right side it's got marks consisting of an "S" inside a circle and what may be an "L". Here's the pics -

I'm relatively new to the sport with roughly 30 rounds under my belt but I'm finding that the first station is the bane of my existence. I pretty regularly shoot stations 2&3 clean. I might drop 1 on 4&5 but that first station kills me. I mean I NEVER shoot it clean and that's whether I shoot it first, last or in between. If anybody has an idea of why this is happening and what I can do to correct it I'm all ears.
  • LIVE VIDEO: Presser on deadly SWAT incident

Barbara Grijalva is live from the law offices of Michael Storie, the legal team representing the law enforcement officers involved in the deadly SWAT incident. This presser is with regard to an incident which occurred on May 5th and has been posted on several times. The basics are that the Pima County SWAT shot a guy while executing a warrant at his home. There has been some significant speculation that everything is less than on the "up and up" based on the fact that they fired 71 rounds in this incident, have changed their story a couple of times and...
  • Ethnic studies supporters overtake TUSD meeting

The TUSD Governing Board was forced to cancel its meeting Tuesday night after ethnic studies supporters stormed the meeting room and chained themselves to chairs. The board was scheduled to consider a proposal that some Mexican American Studies courses would no longer be used to fulfill core-curriculum requirements. The protest was organized by a youth coalition called UNIDOS. The group demanded the proposal, written by board President Mark Stegeman, be withdrawn.....

Does the Tucson, Ariz., massacre justify tighter gun control? Don't be silly. Second Amendment advocates never look at mass shootings that way. For every nut job wreaking mayhem with a semiautomatic weapon, there's a citizen with a firearm who could have stopped him. Look at the 1991 slaughter in Killeen, Texas, where 23 people died in a restaurant while a patron's handgun, thanks to a dumb law, was left outside in her car. Look at the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre, where 32 people died because under the university's naïve policy, nobody in the invaded classrooms was allowed to carry a...

A little more than a month has passed since the death of Cochise County rancher Rob Krentz, and the emotion generated by his murder, the pure shock of it, has ignited a bonfire that still burns across Arizona's borderlands—and all the way to Washington, D.C. Now everyone is demanding troops. Now, with Gov. Jan Brewer's signature on a tough new illegal-immigration law, the nation is embroiled in a loud debate about racial profiling. Now everyone has a multi-point plan for bringing some control to a border so porous that anyone who wants to get into the country can eventually do...

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. government has hauled in about $4 billion in profits from large banks that have repaid their obligations from last year's federal bailout, The New York Times reported Sunday. Critics of the bailout were concerned that the Treasury Department would never see a return on its investment. But the government has already claimed profits from eight of the biggest banks.
  • Department of Justice Withdraws “Enemy Combatant” Definition for Guantanamo Detainees

Department of Justice Withdraws “Enemy Combatant” Definition for Guantanamo Detainees In a filing today with the federal District Court for the District of Columbia, the Department of Justice submitted a new standard for the government’s authority to hold detainees at the Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility. The definition does not rely on the President’s authority as Commander-in-Chief independent of Congress’s specific authorization. It draws on the international laws of war to inform the statutory authority conferred by Congress. It provides that individuals who supported al Qaeda or the Taliban are detainable only if the support was substantial. And it does not...

The leaker who "revealed" to Carl Cameron of FOX News that Sarah Palin didn't know that Africa was a continent or which nations were in the North American Free Trade Agreement has outed himself. First of all the leaker turned out not to be Mitt Romney nor one of his associates as some have suspected. More importantly, the leaker's own revelation does not show that Sarah Palin didn't know that Africa was a continent nor that she didn't know which countries were in the NAFTA. Okay, so who is the leaker? Drum roll please, maestro! And the leaker is....Martin Eisenstadt,...

What you will also see is the taxpayer funded Pima County Legal Defender and Derechos Humanos Co-Chair Isabel Garcia joyfully holding a likeness of the severed head of Joe Arpaio calling 104.1 The Truth vicious. They also chanted "Jon Justice go home, we don't want you here!" This is a Pima County Legal Defender gladly displaying the likeness of a beheaded Arizona Law Enforcement agent, and others beating the likeness of an elected member of Arizona Law Enforcement.
