I think he sees Trump being elected and is prepping a story for after about someone in the Trump administration encouraging him to do something so he can decline and say that both sides do it.
If nobody is above the law, how about limiting the net worth increase of those in all three branches to no more than the average income increase of the entire country? Enough of these 30+ year senators being multimillionaires when that is the only job they have ever had.
Why were they even in the house demanding her ID? She is the one that called thinking there was a prowler in the neighborhood. They checked, didn’t find anyone, then invited themselves into her house and demanded ID from her.
Getting IDs from innocent people is like crack to these bad cops (and, alas, many supposedly good cops, too).
Thank you. If you watch the video he is facing his right when he reaches to his ear. And the folks on the stage are looking way off to the left, as if the shots were from outside of the rally. A couple folks on the right of the stage are looking off to the right, maybe at the car coming in. I did not see any reaction on the stage as if anyone else was hit.
Sitting solidly in the no-income-tax and sales-tax-only camp I think it doesn’t go far enough. Kill all income tax. A sales tax on everything (I would consider only on new items) would do what the progressive tax claims to do and would also capture taxes from those that get income “under the table” like drug dealers and politicians - since they are likely to spend their illegal income. And speaking of illegals, it would capture their spending, too. Set a flat “rebate” amount to cover like the first 10k of spending to quiet down the poor if you must. But no filing taxes. No withholding. Just an extra 15-20% tax at the cash register.
Re: teamwork or taking advice from others - it is clear to me that almost all of our criticisms of Trump are from decisions he made with input from the so-called experts. Like the entire Covid episode. And the stupid things he said (and are usually misquoted about, like “bleach”) are when he was quoting these “experts.”
Maybe this teamwork thing isn’t such a good thing.
“What happens to the job market when the government raises the minimum wage? . . . Therefore, if the price of labour rises, businesses will choose to ‘buy’ less of it – meaning they’ll hire fewer people. Students learn that a higher minimum wage means fewer jobs.
“The prediction from conventional economic theory is unambiguous,’ Card and Krueger wrote. It was also wrong.”
If I remember correctly, there was something about other cops involved in the accident, so they were trying to find a thin-blue-line way to get the guy in the ER to be blamed for it.
What they didn’t mention here was opt-out tracking of your purchases so you get emails/texts of similar items. They are going to be doing what google ads do.
Yup, you got me there. The fraud wasn’t in the voting booth, but in the counting. Not sure how to get that one solved. 100% transparency with open video monitoring at all times?
