I just got an IMS text message on my iPhone with the title: Arizona Voter Alert. (I am located in Arizona) The sending phone number was +1(855)529-5111. The text of the message was: Arizona Voting Alert:You may be eligible to Vote in AZ. Don't wait. Secure you Vote Today! Register to Vote in Arizona Here: go.voteaz.co/qHP------ (exact gobbledegoop obscured by me) My concern is that the area code is international and the ".co" suffix on the web link would normally indicate Columbia. Why would a voter registration campaign have international roots??!

We live in Northwest Phoenix, AZ. A lot of fireworks were set off on Halloween. We had not noticed fireworks being a part of Halloween during prior years. We are now hearing fireworks, again, tonight. First, is anyone else noticing fireworks in their neighborhoods? Second, can anyone imagine what would occasion fireworks? I am concerned that maybe we are being conditioned to hearing explosive sounds in time for the election.

IHME just extended their projections out to the end of the year. And they are projecting that COVID-19 comes back with a vengeance. I noticed the extended projection for my state, Arizona. Then I checked Texas and the entire U.S. Their story is that death rates for the U.S. could be over five times what it was at the worst of this year. During the last week, the IMHE has extended their projections, including the "daily deaths" statistic, to October 1. The projection of "daily deaths" shows a decided upturn in many states beginning on September 1. For almost a week they have made it hard to find out the number of recovered cases in the U.S. For several days, it has been listed as 0 recoveries.
