Europe faces the threat of a rise in violence and sex attacks because of the overwhelming number of single male migrants arriving, an American professor has warned. The vast number of teenage boys coming to the continent after fleeing poverty in Africa and the Middle East is creating imbalances in the number of men and women in some areas, it is claimed. More than 66 per cent of adult migrants arriving through Italy and Greece in the past year were male, according to the International Organization of Migration - along with 90 per cent of unaccompanied under-18s. Valerie Hudson, a...

The only way for European women to have a future is to fight Muslim migration. The city of Cologne's website tells tourists that spending New Year's there is "something to write home about." It certainly is after the German city took in 10,000 mostly Muslim refugees last year. There are 120,000 Muslims already in the city making them more than 10% of the population. It has been estimated that Cologne will become a majority Muslim city by the last New Year's Eve of the century. When the anti-Islamist group Pegida came out to protest last year, the Cologne cathedral turned out...

Two weeks ago the New York Times ran a story about the need to host classes in Norway and Denmark for Muslim men new to the country. The topic? Rape is wrong and unacceptable. A course manual sets out a simple rule that all asylum seekers need to learn and follow: “To force someone into sex is not permitted in Norway, even when you are married to that person.†In Denmark, lawmakers are pushing to have such sex education included in mandatory language classes for refugees. The German region of Bavaria, the main entry point to Germany for asylum seekers,...

German capital city Berlin has joined the sad parade of cities touched by migrant sex violence on New Year's Eve, with hundreds of assaults now reported to police in Cologne and other cities. Although on a smaller scale to the unrestrained and un-policed sex attacks in Cologne, the Berliner Morgenpost has now reported on assaults taking place on the street "in front of the Brandenburg gate". The revelation may prove difficult for the German media, which until now has stressed in most reports on the new year's rapes that Berlin was not caught up in the scandal. The paper reports...

A large, heavy ship, scuttled between 1775 and 1798, is being dug out of its damp grave at the site of a new hotel construction project in Old Town Alexandria. Archaeologists found the partial hull of a ship at 220 S. Union Street, part of the city's major redevelopment of the Potomac River waterfront. It's on the same one-block site where workers two months ago discovered a 1755 foundation from a warehouse that is believed to have been the city's first public building.

Tennessee State Representative Andy Holt sent a letter to President Obama today, telling him to "take your gun control and shove it." The aggressive statement comes just after the president's announcement that he will take executive action to tighten restrictions on gun purchases by implementing more thorough background checks. Holt, of District 76, cited James Madison's Federalist Paper #46. In it the founding father said that states have the power to oppose the federal government through legislation. He referenced, for example, HB1341, a policy that bars the State from supporting the enforcement of federal gun control measures. Holt said the...

NASHVILLE -- A Tennessee lawmaker plans to ask Gov. Bill Haslam this week to work to "suspend all efforts" to settle Syrian refugees in the state following last Friday's terror attacks in Paris. Rep. Sheila Butt, R-Columbia, is asking colleagues in an email to sign a letter in an effort to persuade fellow Republican Haslam to agree in the wake of the attacks which according to news accounts killed at least 129 people. The self-proclaimed Islamic State has claimed credit for the coordinated assaults. In her email, Butt said "Tennesseans are mourning this week with the people of Paris." She...

In politics you can sometimes gauge the level of panic and fear by the speed with which previously held principles are set aside. So with the migrant crisis. Some open borders have been suspended, governments are contemplating talking to President Assad, SNIP And then what is being debated in Germany - containment camps on its borders and a police union chief urging Germany to build a fence along its border with Austria - are all indicators of the political tension gripping Berlin. Angela Merkel has called her decision to open Germany's borders to refugees a "historic challenge" - but she...

A 14-year-old girl has gone missing from a Dutch asylum centre. Police say Fatema Alkasem was nine months pregnant and may be in need of medical care. She is also thought to be a "child bride", and her case has highlighted the problem that the Netherlands faces in providing asylum for girls who married in Syria but are below the Dutch age of consent. The government in The Hague is rushing to close a loophole in the asylum law which has so far allowed child brides to be reunited with their husbands in the Netherlands. The practice has inflamed debate...
