The author Stephen Hunter wrote a novel about how a mall was taken over by terrorists. One of the shoppers was a marine sniper home on leave from Iraq. It didnt take too long before the sniper was taking care of business while the police, led by a devotee of progressive policing dithered outside trying to talk with the terrorists and find out why they wanted to kill so many people. As I recall, the book was actually set in Minneapolis.
Soft Target is available in a Kindle version on Amazon. Going to read it this weekend. Thanks for the tip!
I am still driving my 2003 1500 Ram Quad-Cab with the hemi and consistently get 13.5 MPG. I get real nervous when I have to ride in my friends Hyundai Elantra.
Those signs have been up for quite a some time so the unions have been on top of this from the start. I need to head into town today to pick up some feed. Thanks to the tip from Prov3456, I’ll swing by the Texas County Republican headquarters in Houston and pick up some vote yes signs.
I like Sen. Onder’s phraseology. I will use it to remind myself how to vote. Do I believe a person should have the freedom to choose whether or not to join a union to get a job? Yes.
Thanks Unum. It does apprear that it is designed to confuse. Greitens signed the bill to make Missouri a right to work state. I think the unions are trying to make people think Prop A will repeal that and vote no.
I have seen many of those Vote No signs here in Texas County. I support the right to work without paying a union to do so, but am a bit confused. Should I support Proposition A or vote against it?
Was it the General who was working on his carburator that gave Richard the tip? Haven’t read the book in a while, will have to get it out tonight. I have most of his books and lectures. A brilliant man but still a down to earth kinda guy.
Well this dude was certainly up to the challenge. He was tooling down a four lane on a gorgeous VTX Retro wearing a tank top, shorts, and those open toe sandal things. I get the shivers just thinking about it!
About a year ago I was out on my bike and saw another biker coming from the opposite direction. I put my arm out for the biker wave and he did not reciprocate. As we passed I discovered why. He never saw me because he had his cell phone in his left hand and was texting with his thumb!
