The jist was that it's really bad that Dick Cheney has laryngitis (sp?) because people can't understand him when he says (muffled voice, pounding chest) "Heart attack, heart attack!!". JACKSON TWP: A half-million dollar sewer line project is at a standstill, but it's not because of routine reasons such as a lack of funds, inter-municipal squabbling or even bad weather. It's because of a flower. The project to extend sewer lines from the Western Butler County Authority plant in Zelienople to the southern parts of Jackson Township has halted because an endangered plant may be there. Zelienople fire siren to resound again ZELIENOPLE - After a month being on the ground behind the borough building, the borough's fire siren will soon be back in service. Mayor Tom Oliverio at Monday's borough council meeting directed Marla Marcinko, the borough manager, to have the siren re-installed and put back in service. The siren was removed from the borough building's roof several weeks ago while the roof was being replaced. Council members then began debating whether the siren was necessary, especially considering the noise it produces. Oliverio could not be reached for comment Tuesday.
