  • Ed Rendell raises possibilty of Colin Powell serving in Gore Cabinet

Would not surprise - I don't really understand why Mr. Powell isn't spending some of his political capital to call this farcwe for what it is. I don't understand where was Colin on impeachment, illegal fundraising, sex in the oval office, and now this. how about Colin - come down form the pedestal and fight for your party - he has the credibility to show the dems for the demagogues and shrills that they are.

  • how about a seminar for Republican officials for appearances before the media?

Sick of watching them get their butts kicked hourly on TV? Why don't they have a seminar to teach thses guys how to get their points across effectivley? Smile, be confident, stay focused, sound reasonable. Shake your head and smile like "there he goes again" when your opponent speaks, then take his arguments weaknesses apart. Be PREPARED - especially to point out his and his parties hypocrisy. Our guys are always defensive, frowning, unfocused, and paly right into the other sides hands. You know what they used to say about bear bryant? He could beat you with his players, than ...

Crossfire Bob Novak "Bush Will Eliminate the estate tax"
Why does Novak bring this up every chance he gets? This is the third time I have seen him mention this as a solo statement as the first thing Bush will do. Thanks for the great PR Bob - while getting rid of that tax is indeed right, by constantly harping on it as the first thing Bush will do looks self serving. How about saying tax reduction for ALL Bob? Incidentally, has anyone ever noticed how effectively the liberal triumvurate of Mark Shields, Margaret Carlson, and Al Hunt uses Saul Alinsky's rule of ridiculing your opponents against Novak? Whenever ...

This is really beginning to slip away. The longer this goes, the worse it is for us. The democrats and their allies, the media, stack the deck against republicans in all of these scenarios. They believe they can war room literally anything and mobilize public opinion polls in their favor, which the media will than ceaselessly quote and throw out their to get people in the country thinking their way. Buzzwords, talking points are repeated endlessly until people start having them seep into their conciousness ("will of the people,", disenfranchisement" - I bet before this most people in florida thought ...

Did anyone see this guy on MSNBC? Claimed to have done a study surveying 100 random Georgetown students and having them use the West Palm ballot. Repeated 4 times how these students were amongst the smartest people in the world. He claimed that 19 of 56 students voting for Gore hit the wrong circle - about a 35 % error rate. Give me a break - after this news story was around for 48 hours Gore backers knew what to do to give this clown his "evidence". If I were on the show with him, I would have challenged him, ...

    cnn talkback live
Well, there's your constitutional crisis. Either we win, or Bush is illegtitmate according to Democrats. That does wonders for our political stability - thanks congressman. He also talked of some "RISKY VOTING SCHEME" (talking point there) of having a judge reapportion the vote based on percentages of where he thought it should have gone. God help us all.

Here are the talking points we should be pressing before the public: 1. Even Richard Nixon had the grace not too put the country threw this. How low will Al Gore go? 2. You can't change the rules after the outcome - read the Clinton justice Dept. Memo on the electoral college send around the country the day BEFORE the election when it looked like Al Gore might lose the popular and win the electoral vote. It like saying after a football game you outscored us, but we gained more yards, so we should win. Campaigns are based on the ...

Bill Clinton came to Indianapolis saturday for a rally for congresswoman Julia Carson, and I could not resist crashing the party. Snuck in and got about 20 feet from the podium right front and center. When Mr. Clinton stood to speak I took out my George W. and held it up high for him to view during his remarks. The looks on his, the congresswomans, DNC chairman Joe Andrews and Mayor Bart Peterson were priceless. One enlightened democrat shouted at me to stop displaying my ignorance and threatened to put me on the floor when I ignored him - so ...
