NEW YORK – Mayor Bill de Blasio, his administration threatened to be overwhelmed by a rift with rank-and-file New York Police Department officers, on Monday condemned the thousands of cops who turned their backs to him during a pair of funerals for slain police officers. In his first public remarks on the officers' protests, de Blasio said the cops' searing rebuke was hurtful to the families of the two officers killed in an ambush last month and was an offense to the city at large. "Those individuals who took certain actions the last two weeks, they were disrespectful to the...

In Rochester, New York, in early December of 2014, after considerable commotion from the city’s liberal religious, non-profit, university and political sectors, the police chief and police union president, in concert with the lieutenant governor, pressured a group of Americans not to exercise their constitutional rights of free speech and peaceable assembly. Weird, huh? And what did these several hundred Americans intend to do? Thank the police. And firefighters, and other first responders. Un-effing-believable. In a city which had featured four consecutive days of protests against the police, a rally for the police was deemed too dangerous. In “the interest...

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Tuesday is the next -- and last -- big deadline within the NY Safe Act, and many gun owners plan to defy it by not registering their guns under the state's new definition of assault weapons. One columnist in Forbes writes as many as 1 million gun owners in New York will not register their guns as assault weapons.

Disappointed with aspects of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s gun control bill and frustrated by the manner in which it was passed, Jefferson County legislators are considering drafting a resolution opposing the New York Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act of 2013. The NY SAFE Act, enacted last month, includes new definitions for and regulations on assault weapons, stronger regulations on ammunition, changes to mental health reporting requirements, statewide recertification of handguns and assault rifles, universal background checks and a mandatory sentence of life without parole for killing a first responder, among other provisions. Modeled after a resolution created by Republican...

Rochester, N.Y. — Early Tuesday morning, Christopher Boise heard a noise coming from the basement. As he walked toward the source of that noise, the RIT student noticed two men standing in the downstairs portion of his apartment. "They were waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs," said Boise. One of them had a handgun trained on Boise. Within moments, Boise screamed. His cries were heard by his roommate, Raymond Zheng. "It wasn't like a, 'I stepped by stepped on a piece of glass' kind of scream," explained Zheng. "So, I instinctively went to my gun bag." Zheng...

Rochester, N.Y. - An email sent Friday to state lawmakers threatened violence for politicians, school children, the wealthy and reporters. The letter, Titled "Time to Kill," was written anonymously. "My group is going to do everything possible to provoke terrorist attacks on New York by al-Qaida, and by Tea Party nut cases, and by religious extremeists, lone wolves and anyone else who we can provoke into picking up a gun. We want to create anarchy," states the writer. Politicians are not the only ones mentioned. "If we attack a school bus full of kids, it may have no effect on...

Insisting the Tea Party is a "force for good" Rep. Michele Bachmann blasted health care reform, called for deep budget cuts and blamed President Obama for failing to find solutions to help the struggling economy. The response to President Obama's State of the Union address, was on behalf of the tea party movement, and followed the Republican Party's official response on Tuesday night.

Rochester, N.Y.- Staff Sergeant Javier Ortiz-Rivera called his boys his little Marines. He loved playing with them and teaching them how to salute and stand tall. The youngsters used those lessons to bid their father farewell. Wearing tiny Marine uniforms made especially for them, they saluted their father as he was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. Seventy family members and friends attended the service to honor Sergeant Ortiz-Rivera. It was his wish to be buried there. Family members say Javier sensed he was in danger weeks before he was killed in Afghanistan. In a letter dated the...

rochesterconservative.com was well represented this past Saturday at the 9/11/2010 Ground Zero Mosque Protest by RC co-founder, Freedom Fighter, and here's a presentation of her photos that she took while there. She was right up front and reported: I do know there were more than 2000 at our rally. We were packed in like sardines. I couldn't even move my feet! The people went back for at least two blocks. It doesn't even matter what the media reported anyway. All you have to do is look at the photos. They're never going to report fairly. I waited three hours at...

The developers of the so-called Ground Zero mosque rejected New York Gov. David Paterson’s offer to provide state property if the project is moved farther away from where the twin towers once stood. “I think they would like to stay where they are, and I certainly respect that and I certainly respect them,” Paterson said. “Having said that, how much more foresighted would it have been if the imam who is the developer of the project had been willing to hear what we are actually talking about?”

Patriots, The President of the United States stood nearly arm-in-arm on the steps of the White House with President Felipe Calderon of Mexico. Calderon arrogantly criticized the courage of the State of Arizona for passing a law, which mirrors federal law designed to protect Arizona citizens from falling prey to Mexicans or anyone else that crosses the border into the United States illegally. Obama, looking on as Calderon made his inflammatory comments, took no issue with Calderon, in fact Obama made statements critical of Arizona leadership and it's government. Further, the indescribable spectacle on May 20, 2010 when Mexican President...

A few days ago, I was talking about Supreme Court nominee, Elena Kagan, with my wife. It’s pretty obvious that Obama was going to pick liberals for Supreme Court seats and Kagan certainly fits that bill. I told my wife that maybe it’s best that Republicans just accept that fact and let Kagan slide into the seat. Now I’m glad they didn’t. As it turns out, we’re finding out that she’s a lesbian. I don’t have an issue with that in itself, that’s her business, whatever floats her boat. The problem I have with her is that when she was...

I had a feeling this vilification of the working class, tax paying citizens who make up the Tea Party Movement was coming right from the top and in a new book, Obama says as much. ABC’s Jack Tapper reported this, in his post “GOP Opposition to Stimulus Helped to Create the Tea-Baggers”: Three days after he decried the lack of civility in American politics, President Obama is quoted in a new book about his presidency referring to the Tea Party movement using a derogatory term with sexual connotations.

I woke up early yesterday (4/15/2010) morning with much excitement in anticipation of the 2010 Tax Day Rochester Tea Party! After I poured myself a cup of coffee, I turned on the TV and tuned it to WHAM TV-13. Mike Deming and Gabe Sukenik were going to be giving interviews. Evan Dawson interviewed Mike and Gabe and also gave reports from Genesee Crossroads Park, the location of the Tea Party. He was fair in his questions and reporting and we all certainly appreciate it!

The vitriolic, anti-government hate speech that is spewed on talk radio every day — and, quite regularly, at Tea Party rallies — is calibrated not to inform but to incite.

In a very telling endorsement, former Cuban Communist Dictator Fidel Castro praised Obama on his victory on the Health Care Reform (NOT!) Bill’s passage.

On Friday, March 19, 2010, Wendy T. from We Surround Rochester emailed a “call to action” to rally in front of Rep. Dan Maffei’s (NY 25th) local office, that’s located in the Irondequoit Town Hall. Maffei supports the Health Care Reform bill. Here’s Wendy’s call to action: This weekend is the culmination of so much corruption and so many lies. This weekend they will vote on pronouncing the death penalty on America. I, as an individual citizen who is sick of this crap, will be standing on the sidewalk with a sign tomorrow in front of Irondequoit Town Hall, 1280...

City Newspaper: So you don't share the same views as the Obama administration on how to get out of this recession and grow the economy? Mark Zupan: No, I don't. I think we need to have a little more humility and trust in what common men and women are able to accomplish, compared to a few policy makers.

Now that lid’s been blown off on the Anthropogenic Climate Change Hoax, with the release of the Climategate documents and emails, how much longer will “They”, meaning national leaders throughout the world, including our own, US President Barack Obama, allow the rouse continue?

The Rochester Operation "Can You Hear Me Now" rallies and march, is starting at the WHEC-TV Studios on 191 East Avenue. The rally will start at 11am on Saturday, 10/17/2007. Here's the map for the rally point: We're starting things off with the Presentation of the Colors, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a few speeches. We'll then proceed on our march that will follow this route through Downtown Rochester, across the Genesee River, ending at the Gannett Building, for a protest at our local newspaper, the Democrat and Chronicle: BTW, we are conducting a peaceful, but spirited event...
