Soon people who usually call themselves "free market conservatives" will tell us how we need a minimum wage increase for Americans?

If you don't like your salary, get another job. If you want the government to guarantee your job, join the Democratic party.

The economy is doing quite well under Bush's leadership. The only ones who are complaining are LIBERALS and DEMOCRATS.

I thought class war was a liberal thing?

So what do you suggest, we prefere US business over foreign business? Isn't that socialism? Should we raise taxes on imports? Isn't that big government?

Textile jobs will leave the South for cheaper locales. That is a natural fact of the economy, not a political issue.

People will just need to get better educations and better jobs, or learn to work for less money.

We call that a free market.

Sam Walton and Walmart aren't just buying products from China like everyone else, they were and are the pioneers, leaders, and architects of corporate America's collaboration with Communist China and it's new Capitalist face.

No company did more to mainstream products made by Communist China than Walmart.

There is no possibility of any kind that this person should be allowed near humans beings ever again.

I would be very wary of anyone who suggested that he should.

What kind of liberal B$##%$T is this?

"it allowed Iraqi women personal rights and freedoms unparalleled in the Persian Gulf. Women could drive, travel abroad alone, study in universities, serve in the army and work side-by-side with men. Iraqi women, who make up at least 55 percent of the population and are among the most educated in the region, can become anything, from college professors to lawyers. They choose whom to marry and whether to marry at all. "

No, Saddam did not allow women to go to school or have any rights! He forced them to work as prostitutes and put people in a human sized plastic shredder!

These SWINE will lie through their teeth about anything, and the goddamn liberal press will just repeat their anti-Bush rantings without thought.

    Arg! Back to lurking.

Next? It sure looks like it. Officially, the Saudi Royals are our "allies" but look at who is funding the radical Muslims. Same with the Binladens, who officially disowned the black sheep cousin, Osama, and enjoy close access to leaders in the US and Europe. Same with the ruling families of Jordan and Egypt, Kuwait and UAE. Most of these families grew up in London, New York, and Geneva.

It's going to be a long war.

Just like in Brave New World, isn't it? Aldous Huxley wrote in the 1930's I believe.

Perhaps they will poision the embyos with alcohol, then say the embryo is "hopelessly brain damaged."

Has anyone seen the ad for "Dreammakers"? They recruit women as "egg donors" presumably for artificial insemination to "help a couple who can't concieve". Nothing wrong with that, but I bet that "fetal farming" is the next step.

The infrastructure is already in place. I fear the Republican party won't want to get in a fight over this.

Osama Binladen and the rest of his terrorist clan have been very consistent about their goals - they want a united arab world under a fundamentalist Muslim government, with no interference from the United States, Israel, or Europe.

He'll be happy that Saddam Hussein in gone, because it's probably hard to recruit Muslims against another Muslim, however secular. It will be easy to recruit for jihad against the United States and Israel, or Europe for that matter.

But I would think that even crazy fundamentalist Muslims would think twice about crossing the United States after we destroy Iraq, considering our firepower is the stuff of legend to these people, they simply have no idea that we could destroy them all in a day if we chose.

I'd like to think that the videos and pictures of the massive destruction would deter even the most zealous future suicide bombers, but then again there is no arguing with crazy people.

Bush is under a lot of pressure to start the war soon. I think that's unfair. There's no need to hurry, because this war is going to last twenty years anyway.

This is social engineering to make smoking seem uncool. People have fun at bars, flirt, socialize, and if smoking is banned, less people will start and more people will quit.

Tobacco companies will need to organize smokers and others to pressure these city governments to make sure these bans don't pass.

Why don't the governments just advertize the hazards of smoking the same way that tobacco companies advertize the pleasure? At least that would be fair.

Maybe the tobacco companies could air some commercials about the "right to smoke" or the right to make your own health decisions? I think those kinds of ads can get around the anti-tobacco advertizing laws.

I'm glad we got a smoking gun! Did Powell mention the cell phone, or did he mean the terrorist cell? (I didn't see the speech, I was working.)

Did Powell mention an intercepted cell phone call from Al-Qaeda to Saddam Hussein? Does anyone have a link to this story?

    Bush KNOWS what he's doing!

The Bush family has never been a friend of Israel, and always a friend to the Arab countries. Oil is the obvious reason. But let's face it, the Bush family financed the Third Reich, sold weapons to Iraq (Saddam Hussein) and Iran (Ayatollah Khomeni). What did you expect?

15 of the 19 terrorists the Bush administration said hijacked the planes and destroyed the WTC were from Saudi Arabia. The Binladen family (of Osama bin Laden fame) was (or is) an owner of the Carlyle Group, of which Bush Sr. is an officer.

Bush's main interest is invading Iraq and getting the oil. If he has to go against Israel to get the Arab governments on board, he will. Is anyone really surprised?

In the last 20 years, the US has put military bases in Saudi Arabia, the smaller kingdoms of the Arabia peninsula, and now Kosovo and Afghanistan. Iraq is the second largest known reserve of oil (next to Saudi Arabia). Once the US gets a major base in Iraq, we effectively control all the oil we'll need for a while, and the major pipeline routes. Do you really think Bush will let Israel get in the way?

Bush will make sure that Sharon pulls out of the Palestinian territories and keeps things quiet until Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan are on board with us to invade Iraq. Once we have Iraq, Israel will have a free hand to do whatever it wants. But the Israel lobby will have to see far enough in the future to be quiet and support Bush until we can get the Iraqi oil. Once we have a strong hold on the major oil spots, Israel will have the time and support it needs to "settle the score" and rid Greater Israel of the Arabs. Just be patient!

I hate to be politically incorrect ;) but that's the way it works. Don't give up on the Bushes, it's not just George W., but the whole family and all of the political allies. Remeber, Bush Sr. was not only president and vice-president, but director of the CIA. He knows the Middle East, and has extensive ties (through oil companies) to the governments of all the Arab countries. Trust me, in 5 years, the US will occupy all the major Arab countries, our oil companies will have unfettered access to all of that oil, and Greater Israel will be free of the Arabs. Don't misunderestimate George Bush!
