The new Iraqi government announced Sunday that US Forces conducted an air strike in Fallujah, under that government's authorization. An SAL source provided the Lightning with this footage, claiming that it is of an F-16 strike, within that region. The source, who claims to be a former US Air Force aviator, suggests that the weapon used is a 2000 pound bomb. The Lightning makes no claims as to the time, date or location of this strike. An 83-year-old woman who awoke early Sunday to the sound of someone trying to force open her screen door, shot and killed a teen-age boy standing on her porch, officials said. Shortly after 4 a.m., the woman thought she heard a burglar at her front door, so she yelled through the closed door, warning the person to leave, police said.
