Maybe in the idea of balanced budgets and budget neutral proposal the government cites for those paid by the government e.g. Medicare; I second the idea of increasing the number of representatives but also the idea of keeping the gross amount now paid to the 435 stable and paying each member the proportionate amount of the gross divided by the new total number of representatives.

To serve in the capacity should be an honor and a priveledge and not a full time job. Maybe if they didn’t get paid so much and limit their other abilities to make income off their titles, they would get the job done in a timely manner. They should be like other contracted labor and be penalized for not getting the job done in a reasonable time frame.

We are to submit to the authority of government leaders unless they do that which is wrong in the sight of our Lord Jesus Christ and contrary to the Bible. In that case, we are to do the work of our Lord. If what the leader does is not contrary to the Lord or is irrelevant of sorts, then we are to submit to them.

The apostles could diobey in spreading the gospel because the emporers of Rome were against our Lord in that instance. Too bad most preachers will not stand up against the authority (nor will the congregation allow either) for fear of losing their tax deductablility 503c or whatever the code is these days.

There will be a day when we will have to choose between government (the anti-christ) and our Lord Jesus Christ. Obama is not the anti-christ (he is not a Christ-type if you read your Bible) but he will help pave the way for he that is coming (not small he not HE)

Government knows best for all your childcare needs. Mom needs to work so kid is in daycare, then k-3 kindergarten and on and on...It is never too early to indoctrinate the little ones.

Get your kids out of government education—teach them yourselves. It is not that hard to find conservative school books and teach them that material and common sense. If needed, teach them well and later get them a GED handbook.

Public school equals vaccinations..who knows what they are putting in those. Look how many are now required and they keep adding need for “boosters”. These things mess with the patients DNA, do you really want the government fooling with your kids DNA!!!

There in lies the point—it is the perception of conservative that wins the election for the republicans. Once in office, they show true colors and the conservatives get frustrated, don’t vote—especially after an 8 year term of office, and the dems win. Only clinton has maintained a re-election because after 4 years, the conservatives muster up the courage to go vote again after buying the lies of the GOP that this time it will be better.

GOP equals perception of consevativism, none of the politicians that can get to that level are really conservative or they wouldn’t get there. No-one in Washington is going to risk someone cutting government and risk losing govenment jobs and government influence over the sheeple.

Sir, I believe that is what conservatism is about! Pseudo-conservatism that Bush 2, et.al. propose where they talk about less government but give us more is not conservatism, it is propagation of the government to make sure politicians have power and money. That is what we NEED to get rid of. If you have less government, then you will have the other “conservative” values that many would like to have. Less government would equal less interference into business, education, medicine, etc.

Come on; this was not meant to be a new revelation. Anyone with any sense at all knows this. Despite stating the obvious, there are some things that people overlook while blindly swallowing the Kool-Aid of the GOP thinking they will eventually save the conservatives of this coutry

The gop panders to what we want to hear; gets our votes and then leaves us out to dry until the next time. They know the dems will raise our ire and we would never vote for them; so what do the republicans have to lose other than a few moners and bitchers here and there that stop soon after the elections.

I was just trying to raise that point as most people on here are optimistically looking through their rose (red State) colored glasses to the worthless promises and candidate choices in the 2012 election never learning from the past. If we don’t stop and evaluate the problems we have, history continues to repeat itself as we continue to see.

In reality, conservatives don’t have a party because as many say there aren’t enough of us. How many conservatives do you know that don’t do crap but vote for republicans because that is what we do....maybe if someone got off their butts, something might happen.

No guarantees there will be a 2012 election for POTUS...once we go black/muslim we may never go back. If this sucker jihads the US and hands it over to his Muslim posse..the last thing you may be worried about in 2012 is a presidential election.

Don’t have to “educate” them—they know who to vote for; it is the “conservative’s” kids that must be “educated”

My point is the “enabling evil” has nothing to do with current politics (except the continuation of the evil) but has to do with society allowing the takeover of education from the parents. The socialization of American education was done years ago and now we are strongly reaping what was sown. Products of public education in the 50’s, 60’s and even the 70’s was okay because the teachers held on to their morals and taught them as well as school subjects. Today, teachers are not allowed to discipline or teach moral judgements; they are allowed only to promote political correctness and the propoganda of the state (the US corporate state). The US education system is that we learned of in our formative years that occurred in communist countries. Wonder what that will make us in a few years if we continue to allow the government to teach and train our children. Thnk about the fact that the kids spend 30-40+ hours a week learning what the gvt. wants them to learn. Since no-one pays attention to what little johnny is leaning anymore, the parents think it is the right thing to do..Woe unto all of us..liberal or conservative.

Social engineering does work to indoctrinate the minds that will run this country in years to come and brings in more money (taxes) to the federal behemoth..the only answer is to get government out of education, but will not be done because too many feel they must have a 2nd income and cannot home school or are not willing to pay for a private education that is not burdened by the government indoctrination system.
No child left behind means they all will grow up lazy and stupid.
If the government continues to control our schools, we all will lose.

actually might not be a bad thing--if the dems think their man is going to win, they might stay home so less Kerry votes in the battle states. Just a thought that the pushing of Kerry on everyone might backfire on them.
