Tsunami warning issued for Izu Islands after M6.8 quake in Pacific Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at 15:41 JST TOKYO — The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami warning Wednesday for the Izu island chain south of Tokyo after a quake measuring a preliminary magnitude of 6.8 took place in the Pacific. TUOLUMNE COUNTY, Calif. -- Tuolumne County sheriff's detectives are looking into what they are calling two potential homicide cases. Two bodies were found over the weekend. One was on the grounds of Columbia State Park near Sonora, and the other was near the town of Groveland. In the Sonora case, the adult male body was badly decomposed and had probably been at the location for several months, according to authorities. In Groveland, the remains had likely been there for a few days, according to investigators. Autopsies are being performed on both bodies in hopes of revealing more clues.
