The problem lies within the National Voter Registration Act, which states that removing large numbers of voters from voter rolls within 90 days of an election is a violation and would be subject to a federal lawsuit.

The democommies know this and allow it.
The bush league chamber of commerce worshiping republiCAN’Ts know this and allow it.
Is the picture becoming clear now?
What gets me is our objections on this kinda stuff is not as loud as theirs.
When we’re in power we’ll have to ram this stuff down their throats.
They openly want DC statehood, pack the SCOTUS, and eliminate the electoral college while we play defense. Tell me how to get rid of Motor Voter. It’s gonna stay while we can only play for restrictions until the next group of democrats get in.
It’s like Iran being at war with us. We’re not at war with them.
Arizona has gone purple. In another decade it will be blue.
When one of these folks goes to the polls...is their name flagged?
Agree entirely, accept it's not the only way.
Another approach is to throw the entire process into chaos by researching as best we can the names of anyone and everyone who is here illegally, or who is here legally but are not citizens, and submit votes (multiple votes) in their names. This will shine such bright light on how crazy and destructive illegal voting is such that it will nullify the approach for the left.
At the very least it will force a full review of all votes.
So is ineligible voters voting in our elections.
It should scare them.
Because, unlike with Hillary, for whom (as his wedding ceremony guest and fellow U.S. Prexy/Prexy adjacent individual) Trump apparently never meant to back up the “Lock Her Up” threat with actual jail time, the numbnut potential illegal voters in their millions know that DJT’s threat of federal prosecution and jail time is entirely legitimate, and will be backed up by the full weight of whatever remains of the executive branch’s prestige and law enforcement power.
“At the very least it will force a full review of all votes.”
Hopefully in the wake of an overwhelming 49- or 50-state Trump Electoral College victory.
We just gotta do the things they do when we have the upper hand. hey have no qualms about it so why shouldn’t we?
It is not only Arizona, but any state that chooses to abide by the Act's citizenship certification without proof.
It would seem easily resolved on Jan6, 2025 by Congress on the basis of federal law that makes voting by noncitizens for federal offices a violation. Simply exclude the electoral certificates if states that did not provide both state and federal ballots.
The National Voter Registration Act needs to be rewritten, or just done away with altogether. Until that happens, state legislators need to get off their butts, pass effective laws and states need to make sure deadlines for things like removing voters are met.
Sounds like grounds for decertification of their election results if Harris wins by less than 200,000 votes.
No Trump should take action beforehand BEFORE the ballots get mixed in!
Fair enough, but what they really do is gin up/invent/artificially inflate criminal charges to demoralize or disinherit decent, law-abiding fellow citizens who more or less mean them no harm other than to try to interrupt and hopefully bring a lasting end to their illegitimate schemes.
Geez. My home state has gone full retard. Glad I’m in Texas. At least I’ve got two grandnieces who woke up this morning, got appropriately dressed like Trump supporters and headed off to Prescott Valley.
“Trump should take action beforehand BEFORE the ballots get mixed in!”
At long last, in today’s society, this appears to have been well nigh impossible.
POTUS 47 Trump, and then (our President for the succeeding eight years) Vance are going to have to win, despite the reality of widespread election fraud and voter fraud, and then methodically and meticulously go through what the malefactors have done like Grant took Richmond.
Agree. Take action now RNC! After the election the cowardly judges and governors will ignore these calls for election integrity. They did it with Biden WITH willing Repubs.
Context takes the juice out of this story. The 200,000ish voters have been on the rolls since BEFORE the requirement to provide proof of citizenship began. They were not asked for the proof, and the election officials did not undertake to record anything about it. They have not been asked to provide it now. Some portion might be non-citizens who have lived in Arizona since 1996 or before, have remained active voters, haven’t moved, etc. How many might that be? There is no reason to believe that large numbers are actually non-citizens.
Two things about this are “bewildering.” Why didn’t election officials simply notify the people on this list that they should supply their proof of citizenship voluntarily? No need to threaten taking them off the rolls if they didn’t. Why has no organization bothered to analyze even a sample of the identities, using public information like Vital Statistics in the State’s possession, or Social Security databases. Simply parse the registrants’ names through these, and reduce the list by those born in the US. Investigate any problematic names further. If any are actually non-citizens, flag them when they check in to vote, and require them to proide proof of citizenship before their provisional votes are counted.
This could be an important story if it was shown that large numbers of non-citizens are indeed registered to vote. Finding that very few are non-citizens would kill the hype value.
Certainly, at least in one aspect.
It is quite irresponsible for a federal document designed for the purposes of registering to vote, to not require proof of citizenship when it is a violation of federal law for noncitizens to vote. It seems on a par with a state not requiring a driving test but simply accepting the word of a 18 year old from another state that he or she can drive.
The Act may expressly prohibit removal of registered voters within a stated number of days prior to election, but should such provision preclude removal of those who have registered to vote in violation of election statutes?
