"Call it what you want, it is about keeping bad people (with bad intentions) out of country!" Trump wrote on Twitter

0800: Wake up and tiptoe around the house so as not to violate “noise laws” and get a visit from the police. 0805: Don’t take a bath. 0810: Don’t comb hair; leave in hip “mussed” look made popular by Germans (slept in one position for 6 hours) and Brits (oily mussed look because bathroom plumbing is crap). 0830: Leave home and leave door unlocked for burglar to have easier entry so he won't smash expensive union-made door. 0900: Go to nearest bar for coffee picked by slave-labor in Africa. 0910: Score some pot from a friend met on the street....

COLD WAR IN GRAND RAPIDS Snowball Fight Erupts During President’s Healthcare President Bush was in Grand Rapids, Mich., last week to unveil the administration’s health-care reform plan. “I wish people who think he’s inarticulate could have seen him talking without notes,” said Rep. Vernon Ehlers (R-Mich), who accompanied the president on the trip from Washington on board Air Force One. Meanwhile, outside an estimated 500 pro- and anti-Bush demonstrators clashed in a savage snowball fight. “There was about 10 inches on the ground,” reported Ehlers, so opposing forces had plenty of ammo. By the time order was restored, several demonstrators...

George W. Bush may be the last Republican presidential candidate to carry Nevada. One of the nation's fastest-growing states, Nevada officially put Bush 43 over the top in the Electoral College balloting in 2000. But his narrow 2 percentage point victory over feckless Al Gore likely was the last hurrah for the Grand Old Party in this land of neon and sagebrush. Breaking down the vote, Gore lost 16 of Nevada's 17 counties. But he carried Clark County (better known as Las Vegas) by some 20,000 votes. Home to roughly two-thirds of the state's residents, Clark County has a hefty...

GOP...We hear and use that acronym all of the time. How many of us know what it stands for? I must admit, I didn't and had to look it up. Most people I ask didn't know either. In fact, it is very amusing hearing what people "plug in" to define GOP.

This is the text of an e-mail I wrote in response to a friend of mine who knew I was a former priest and wanted my take on all that is going on... It's a crying shame all this is happening and even more of a shame that only 3% were pedophilia and the rest were homosexual acts with young men. Of course, the homosexual media doesn't want to expose that as the real problem. I hope the dumb-ass hierarchy will stop hiding the homosexual issue and weed that out of the seminaries, priesthood, and hierarchy. Then parents wouldn't be...

<p>The Rev. Jesse Jackson's premier tax-exempt organization has not filed a state tax return for 2000 and is in danger of losing its legal authority to raise money, an official with the Illinois attorney general's office said.</p>
<p>"This is problematic," said Dan Anders, a spokesman for the office, which regulates tax-exempt businesses in Illinois. "The forms were due in June, and over the last eight months, we have sent notices and contacted them by phone.</p>

Civil Rights Commissioner Says Attitude of Movement Must Change By Jeff Johnson Capitol Hill (CNSNews.com) - President George W. Bush's most recent, and disputed, appointee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights (USCCR) says the attitude of those in the civil rights movement must change for minorities to succeed in America. "Nothing profound really has been uttered in the name of civil rights since the death of Martin Luther King, Jr. over 30 years ago, and the reason is largely one of attitude," according to Commissioner Peter Kirsanow. "Martin Luther King, Jr. had an uplifting, inspiring attitude that resonated ...

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A newspaper publisher's commencement speech was drowned out by hecklers when she mentioned threats to civil liberties posed by the federal government's investigation of the terrorist attacks. Janis Besler Heaphy, president and publisher of The Sacramento Bee, was delivering the midyear graduation address Saturday to about 17,000 people at California State University in Sacramento. When Heaphy raised questions about racial profiling, limits on civil rights and the establishment of military tribunals, the audience interrupted by clapping and stomping their feet for five minutes. University President Don Gerth tried to quiet the audience, but Heaphy stopped ...

"'Twas the Night Before Ramadan" by Mullah Mohammed Omar 'Twas the night before Ramadan, and all through the cave Not a creature was stirring; it felt like a grave. The turbans were hung by the firepit with care, in hopes that the Air Force would not soon be there. The soldiers were restless without any beds, While visions of air strikes flashed in their heads. Osama in his burkha and I in my goatskin cap, Had just settled down for a cold, barren winter's nap. When out on the ledge there arose such a clatter, I grabbed my Kalashnikov to ...

Indians Win Another Battle at Little Bighorn (CNSNews.com) - Congress has agreed to spend $2.3 million to build a memorial to the Indians who wiped out Lt. Col. George Custer and his 7th Cavalry troops at Little Big Horn in Montana 125 years ago. The money is included in an Interior Department appropriations bill, which now goes to President Bush for his signature. Wire reports quote the superintendent at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument: "This is good, good, good, great news," said Neil Mangum, who has pushed for some type of "visual image for the Indians who fought here." Custer's ...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - NBC television nightly news anchor Tom Brokaw said Monday he might have handled hate mail containing anthrax, which has already afflicted his assistant and possibly another NBC employee. ``I actually saw it (the letter) and I think I even picked it up at one point and so I may have been exposed. I'm not sure but I'm confident that cipro is going to get me through this,'' said Brokaw, shaking a bottle of antibiotics. Hundreds of people have been tested across America for anthrax. People in three states have been exposed to the bacteria. The targets were ...

Fans of America's "First Black President" are sure to be dismayed over plans to bulldoze a historic house built by slaves that had the misfortune to be located on the grounds of the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Ark. "An 1890s historic freight depot..., built by former slaves, is in impeccable condition and part of the historic train station and bridge Clinton has vowed to preserve," says U.S. News & World Report's "Washington Whispers." But the Clinton Library team has nixed any idea to save the structure, saying it's too late to incorporate the depot into plans for his ...

Just ten days before the terrorist attacks on New York's World Trade Center and the Pentagon – reportedly linked to Islamic militants – the U.S. Postal Service issued a new stamp celebrating Islam. The postage entitled "EID Greetings" may appear to some as a sinister spoof, given that, when read backwards, EID spells "die." To the contrary, officials say it reflects the agency's real efforts to "reach out to all of our diverse populations." Postal officials say the EID stamp recognizes 7 million Muslims in America. According to the USPS website, the EID "commemorates the two most important festivals in ...

ANXIETY among the non-black residents of Cincinnati turned to anger at the weekend over the violence that has torn the city apart in the past week. Many were furious with the city's mayor, Charlie Luken, and Ohio's Governor, Bob Taft, for attending the funeral on Saturday of Timothy Thomas, the 19-year-old black man killed by police as he tried to evade arrest. His death provoked a week of rioting and curfews. But many are infuriated by the failure of the mayor and governor to stand up for the city's police while appearing to appease black leaders. The chief of police, ...

(CNSNews.com) - Jesse Jackson''s black empowerment conglomerate faced a media barrage Tuesday after Jackson''s chief financial officer admitted there was a "high probability" that a 1999 financial disclosure form, filed by Jackson''s Citizenship Education Fund, would need to be amended. Just last week, the National Legal and Policy Center filed a complaint with the Internal Revenue Service, alleging that the CEF had violated tax code provisions applying to non-profit organizations and asking the IRS to investigate Jackson''s financial dealings. This week, Billy R. Owens, Jackson''s chief financial officer, released a 102-page report to the Chicago Tribune, detailing the finances of ...

(CNSNews.com) - Jesse Jackson's Citizenship Education Fund may become the target of an Internal Revenue Service inquiry, following a complaint filed Wednesday by a public interest legal group. The IRS complaint, filed by the National Legal and Policy Center, charged that Jackson's CEF, "has engaged in conduct which appears to violate the [federal] Code," governing not-for-profit organizations. According to the complaint, the alleged "misconduct falls into three areas: non-exempt purpose, private inurement, and procedural non-compliance." The complaint to IRS Commissioner Charles Rossotti argued that such "red flags ... justify the [Internal Revenue] Service initiating an investigation and/or audit," of Jackson's ...
