Well, I'm just full of questions this week! This one should be pretty easy: Are there any brands of automotive aftermarket power steering pumps that FReepers have had good luck with? "Good luck" in this case means proper operation and no leaks for over 50k miles, preferably over 100k miles. Slight difficulties in installation, I can overcome, as I do most minor repair work on my cars myself. And I've studied vids and forums when it comes to instructions on bleeding the steering system hydraulics, things to watch out for during installation, and so on.

Geez, is there some requirement an OP must repost / reply in under an hour? Some of us actually have lives!! And I needed to look at the computer again to get info. for replies, and it was, ya' know, not right at my fingertips. Anyway, here goes AGAIN: I've inherited a huge gaming computer from my brother. It seems to turn on ok, except that there is no video from either the Motherboard or the dedicated graphics card. Can Windows 11 Pro be used with 6th or 7th gen Intel processors without running into lack of support problems with Microsoft? I see MANY refurbs on eBay with such combinations, yet SFAIK Microsoft still says it does not support Intel processors that are not at least 8th generation.

A relatively small web forum I am a member of is shutting down soon. There are a lot of posts on it I and other members would like to archive to HD for reference. Saving individual pages is VERY time consuming, and we only have until the end of the month. Do any of our FReeper computer guru's have any experience with this?

TOPLINE Billions of Brood X cicadas have emerged in the United States after over a decade underground, causing gourmands to draw up recipes and prepare for a once-every-17-years culinary opportunity — but the Food and Drug Administration says people who are allergic to seafood should cut cicadas out of their diets because they’re too similar to shellfish. (Snip...) Cicadas pose a risk because they’re closely related to crustaceans like shrimp and lobster: Insects and crustaceans are both arthropods, and researchers say they probably shared a common ocean-dwelling ancestor millions of years ago.

"There is no food shortage in Gaza, and there never was," says an Israeli official familiar with the details. Is the inside surface of clear copper tubing, such as used in refrigeration systems, anodized or have some other finish applied to it? It appears to be impossible to solder to, even using acid flux, unless the surface is thoroughly sanded (or use steel wool or a wire brush). The inside surface "as is" looks clean, with no darkening or oxidation, but is smooth, lacking the tiny scratches of sanding with high grit sandpaper, or using steel wool on it.
