The French are conceding that Bush won the election, according to a FNC report just now. It is a riot the way none of the networks have the guts to give President Bush Nevada or New Mexico or Iowa and Ohio to Bush and be the first to call the election for Bush. The media are all in a race to be second to call the election.

A Prayer for America, A Psalm of David PSALM XXIII The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my...

DOMESTIC POLICIES of President George W. Bush MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS (2001-2003) No Child Left Behind School Reform Law which makes schools test every child to be sure all are learning and provides a record level of funding to help any child who is not learning. For example, Gainesville Elementary School in northeast Georgia is mostly Hispanic and 90 percent poor -- and this year 90 percent of its students passed state tests in reading and math. Income Tax Cuts which have raised tax deductions for children and lowered tax rates for everyone and made taxes fairer for married people, and helped...

Our troop support group finally found a way to send care packages to our troops in Afghanistan, and I've received a couple letters this week requesting goodies. We're pretty excited about finally making contact, and are inviting others who want to show support to join us. If you can't afford to contribute money or goods, the troops also really appreciate letters, cards and notes, and request your prayers for their safety and peace of mind. The first set of care packages and thank you cards and notes that we sent to Afghanistan for the Fourth of July were received with...

You can get my address by FReepmail and send a hand written letter or thank you card to me and I will put it in the next box or manilla envelop going to Iraq, or you can FReepmail me a note or letter and I will print it out and put it in the Fourth of July packages. Also, if you have any used...

Chris Wallace advertised his Sunday news show as a time to put the names of our fallen soldiers in context. Ted Koppel had simply read the names of the soldiers who have sacrificed all, the last full measure of devotion, for us to live in peace and for the Iraqis to have a unique and blessed chance to find peace and security and democracy. So, Chris Wallace decided to have a show to put those sacrifices in context, and talk about all the good things that the American soldiers had done in Iraq. So, I tuned in, and I am...

Link to www.irs.gov You can file for an automatic extension to file your income taxes by phone until midnight. I just did. Enter 4868 in the form search box and then you'll bring up the form and instructions, plus the 888 number for filing by phone. Wait for the very end of the automatic phone instructions to be sure you have actually filed. Cheers! Patty

Anyone who would like to request prayers or fasting for their loved ones in the military or for themselves as they go into harm's way, or would like to offer up such prayers and fasts, please join this thread.Isaiah 58 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Yet they seek me daily and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight...

Originally printed in New Frontiers, the Space SIG (Special Interest Group) newsletter, July-August, 1982, M. Berry editor. You made a mistake asking for mail from those of us who've seen the shuttle. In spite of Senator Proxmire's sober, perfectly reasoned arguments against our enthusiasm, I'll bet you're inundated with personal experiences. Proxmire's right, but he misses the point. Even those few humans that are logical generally don't dream along rational lines. And ultimately more human progress issues from dreams that from logic. It wasn't logical to be happy in November, 1981, when the space shuttle Columbia ran into problems requiring...

Vanity. I was just blown away by CSI Miami starrring David Caruso, CBS's spinoff of the popular CSI starring William Peterson that is set in Las Vegas. The plot involved a powerful political family with a beach front estate in Miami area and another in Vermont, a rape by a nephew of a powerful politician, who has a history of having left a woman to die in a car he was driving. Sound like anybody we know? There were some memorable lines that were so gutsy that one must assume that a certain real political family is losing its grip...

The Iraq debate is over. Democrats who are up for reelection in close Senate races voted for the Iraq resolution with the exception of Paul Wellstone (D-WI). Now with over three weeks left, they are going to hit hard on the economy, social security, negative attack ads, etc.

WASHINGTON - Crew members on American Airlines Flight 63, who helped thwart suspected shoe-bomber Richard Reid in December, say they had to overcome a lack of information, a lack of training and the inattention of their supervisors, according to interviews conducted shortly after the incident. In a 66-minute videotape of the interviews, conducted in January and February by the union that represents American Airlines pilots, five members of the 13-member crew and a Fort Worth dispatcher recounted their improvised response to the drama that played out over the Atlantic for nearly three hours. Officials at American said much has changed...

FReepers! I need emails to send to our troops with the Christmas presents that are being mailed out this week to the 101st AIRBORNE. We have 200 plus presents, but only about a third of them so far have a personal message to go with them to show the troops that we care about them and are grateful for their sacrifices for our country and for putting their lives on the line for our freedom. PLEASE FReepMail me or send an email to my personal email (below) a Dear Soldier note for the Holidays! Do it today, so I can ...
