Pressed on whether she is considering becoming an independent, Murkowski replied, “I’m very independent-minded,” adding, “I just regret that our party is seemingly becoming a party of Donald Trump.”

“If any Christians think there are aliens from different planets, they’re not Christians. There are demons all around us, though.”
Really? How do you judge any Christian that believes it is highly unlikely that Homo Sapiens is the only intelligent life?
There is not a single word in the Holy Bible that states that Homo Sapiens are the only intelligent, self-aware beings God ever created.
The universe God Almighty created is vast, beyond human comprehension. Galaxy upon galaxy. Trillions upon trillions of planets.
    Why?
Please explain with an iota of logic why the need for such a vast, incomprehensible universe only to populate a single small planet in a small solar system in a vast galaxy. One solar system among trillions and one galaxy among so very many.
Only an arrogant, ignorant person would assume the Lord God, the Creator of all things created all this and only populated our tiny little rock with his chosen ones. And, all else He created is barren.

Happy for the fact that neither I nor my wife nor my children have ever submitted to the Jab. We all have had the Wuhan Flu. We survived the various variants with minimal adverse effects. Natural Immunity worked well for all of us.
I am still dismayed by the abject capitulation to the Gov’t fearmongering displayed by so many posters on FreeRepublic.

“Well one thing is for sure, Pence is not committed to any conservative goals.”
Pence is a committed GOPe Globalist. He was a GOPe mole in the first Trump Presidency (one of many) and the primary person responsible for the backstabbing betrayal of General Flynn. He’s a POS who any patriotic American should condemn in the harshest terms.

Pence ran against his old boss for the 2024 GOP nomination. The former vice president frequently warned the party against following what he called the “siren song” of populism and questioned whether Trump was committed to conservative policy goals.
  • Who Failed the Chevy Camaro?...Did GM fail to advertise the Chevy Camaro well enough, or did we fail to buy enough of them while it was around?

Chevy and Ford have similar issues in this market segment. Devotees. Ford guys. Chevy guys.
Chevy’s guys are divided between Corvette guys and Camaro guys.
Ford has no such dilemma. Ford guys have the Mustang.
Yes, there is a very limited market for the GT Supercar; its price is astronomical and out of reach but, for the very few.
The Chevy Corvette on the other hand is attainable for those who are on a Camaro budget but, really want a Corvette.
They can stretch their budget or, delay a purchase while saving more money and get the Vette instead of settling for the Camaro. A great many buyers opt for the latter.
So, my opinion is the Chevy Camaro is a victim of the Chevy Corvette. The Mustang has no such brand competition.

It has been said, that the United States of America is the last best hope for a free people. Years ago I didn’t give that very much credence. I agreed that the USA was the best place to be. But, I thought that phrase, saying, was hyperbole.
    I was wrong.
President Trump may just be the Last Best Hope for preserving what the Founding Fathers bequeathed us.
President Reagan’s statement that Freedom is just one generation away hits home. We may very well be at that point in our country’s history. Right now.
The American people are being sold out for the personal interests of the DC Swamp creatures We the People put in office.
The Swamp no longer thinks of themselves as our Representatives. They believe they are our Superiors and We the People are an annoyance to be ignored and, if we get too uppity, to be imprisoned.
Donald Trump appears to be the last-ditch proposition to defeat The DC Swamp. They understand this very well thus, their all-out effort to destroy the man. And, submit the American People to subjugation to the DC Swamp.

“Or is it a logical course of observing the situation, seeing what went wrong, and changing the course.”
From time immemorial there have been people such as you. People with low principles and a lack of intestinal fortitude.
If George Washington had gained to listen to counsel such as yours there would be no country called the United States of America.
If Lincoln had listened to people such as you General Grant would not have led the Union to victory over the Confederacy.
As Rush Limbaugh so accurately stated, this is exactly what fighting the Deep State looks like. It ain’t pretty. It’s ugly. It’s messy. But, it demands a man such as Donald Trump who is wholly willing, able and, energized by the fight. A man whose make-up is designed for this very task. A man who relishes the fight. Is undaunted by the slander directed towards him. And, thankfully, ignores people like you and keeps on keeping on.

    You sir are delusional.
Desantis is one of the most unlikable people to ever enter Republican politics. A political whore. A backstabbing, self-absorbed ingrate of the ultimate order.
His total lack of personality makes Cruz’ lack of personability look mild in comparison.
Desantis’ national political career is dead. Period. He put his political career in the pocket of NEVER-Trumper RINO financiers and just like Yeb! they, and you, backed a stone-cold loser.
President Trump will win and not a soul who votes for President Trump will ever vote for Desantis. Ever. Not even for Dog Catcher.

“And this would be better the second time around how?”
A truly PATHETIC response. The implication of your retort is, just go along to get along. Don’t attempt to change a thing in The Swamp. Then, we will have tranquility.
The result of that will be business as usual in perpetuity until like Rome, the USA collapses.
As the Late Great Rush Limbaugh stated, repeatedly, this is what fighting the Establishment looks like! It ain’t pretty but, it is absolutely necessary!
And, Donald Trump is the one man who is bound and determined to see this through.

“Obama and Trump let the military be woke. They realized white, straight soldiers are bad.”
The former accelerated what Clinton began and W. did nothing about.
President Trump did not facilitate this one iota. He was just too busy defending himself against 24/7/365 attacks by the Deep State, Dems, and RINO’s to put any focus on this specific issue.
He empowered our Armed Forces to do their jobs and the results were that our enemies went quiet during his presidency. None of the chaos that exists today was anywhere to be seen during his tenure.
Your slander of this good man by associating him within the same sentence with Obama is totally uncalled for.

I’m retired Navy. NavAir to be specific. The undermining of our military by what we today call The Woke began many years ago. During the Clinton years, I attended a mandatory lecture where the subject was competition is bad. And, sexuality is none of our business.
Nearly everyone in the lecture hall revolted at the concept. Nearly. Not all. This fact did not deter the proponents of this nonsense.
As the years went on more such nonsense was introduced to our troops. They were specifically targeting JO’s. As time passed, many longstanding criteria for many specialties were slowly watered down. Frog boil concept. All in the name of Equity and Diversity.
This watering down accelerated greatly during the Hussein administration. The Great Purge of dedicated patriots in the senior officer ranks and the forced introduction of females into combat ranks.
Especially, in elite units. Anyone who raised concerns was the subject of ridicule and subsequently dismissed.
Then came the open embrace of homosexuality and lesbianism in the ranks. Quickly followed by so-called Transgenders.
The Woke dominate the senior ranks. Obama saw to this via his Great Purge.
President Trump was too preoccupied with assaults upon his presidency 24/7/365 by the Dems and RINO stealth co-conspirators to tackle this issue.
Dementia Joe is a figurehead for the Obama Agenda. Only a fool would volunteer to serve such an abomination of our military’s actual mission.

    The Democrats are the Borg.
Republicans can rarely if ever agree on anything. Getting a majority of Republicans on the same page is almost as futile as herding cats. Nearly impossible.
Democrats have personal agendas. Democrats always, if reluctantly, put their disagreements aside for the party’s ultimate goal of changing the USA into a one-party rule democrat totalitarian gov’t.
The Republicans have no such unifying goal which drives them to capitulate to the overlying objective.

This and 10,386 other reasons are why my wife and I left our home state many years ago. When we told our family, close friends, and employers we were leaving, they all told us we were overreacting. Now they ask us, “How did you know?”
We told them because we were paying attention. We saw the inevitable decline and chose to leave while young enough to start over.
We evaluated a few states, including Texas and Florida. Chose Florida.

The gist of this issue is, the Democrat party is like the Borg. They may have minor disagreements but, they are in lockstep with their end goals.
The Republican Party is like a herd of Cats. RINO’S. Fiscal Conservatives but liberals on social issues. Some Democrats masquerading as Republicans to get elected. Perpetual War Hawks. And, the minority, true Constitutional Conservatives.
There is no unifying theme among Republicans. There is a singular unifying theme among Democrats. And, this is the primary issue.
The enemy of our Constitutional Republic is unified in their cause. The opposition party is terminally divided. A house divided will not stand.
And, unlike the Dems the Republicans cannot unify on anything. They unify on the destruction of our Republic. Republicans unify on NOTHING, including the saving of our Republic from Dem intent on its destruction.
Trump appears to be the only one to understand this and even then the Republicans cannot seem to unify. The Dems have no such issues.

Apologies for the delayed response. I haven’t been on this site for a while. Busy with life. I enlisted in 1978. I Enlisted as an AT. Retired as a Mustang as an LT. Got a degree in Electrical Engineering during my time in. Took many years to accomplish as life in the military is not conducive to spending 4 years in a college classroom.
Retired now. I live in Florida in a retirement community called The Villages. Fantastic place.
Though the summer is brutal. Heat and humidity are off the charts. But, if you don’t hide from it you do get used to it.
