Why Nikki Haley is staying in the race.

Until Trump becomes the nominee, he cannot access general election funds and he doesn't get the security briefings, not having the security clearance as the nominee.

Now that you know what she is up to.

“I am not Trump fan” Really, so who pray tell are you a “fan” of? Who in your opinion is more prepared to battle the Establishment on behalf of the average American? I’d love to hear your answer.

I figure she is staying in for one or both of two reasons:

1: She expects “them” to assassinate Trump, and wants to be all warmed up and ready to step right in as the replacement.

2: The suckers are still pumping in money to her campaign, and she figures that since her political career will soon be over, is collecting all the dough she can.

I appreciate that factoid.
It just wouldn’t be above the establishment to wait until Nov5-January 20 to finally give the clearance he needs to do his job.

We crunched some numbers here.

About 100,000 Democratic voters voted for Biden in the Democratic primary a few weeks ago.

That made them ineligible to vote in the open Republican primary we just had.

It looks like about 150,000 Democratic or Democratic leaning Independent voters decided to wait and voted for Nikki in the Republican primary.

If they had not crossed over President Trump would have matched his national polling numbers with Republican and leaning Republican primary voters which is about 75-25 over Nikki.

The Democratic Nikki vote lowered the margin to 60-40.

Trump will reach the needed 1200 delegates on Super Tuesday or maybe before in Michigan. Think that is correct the funds generally released to him (security briefing etc)— then this cackling harpie will drop out and rake in the millions in kickbacks to her for being a lying spoiled brat with no policy except... b—tch, b00tch, b—tch. Zero career but then she was always about the kick the money. Palpably crass harpy.

Thus handing her a FAKE level of support to “continue the race” as she says and uh... “keeping her word”. What word was that little nikita.... cash on the barrelhead?

Thanks for the numbers, quantifies their calculation quite well. Get out the vote for the spoiler. Like Tammany Hall for the whole US- cause that’s what it has been. And the naive don’t get this, at all.

The delegate count data I saw released by the Trump campaign is that a Super Tuesday sweep will almost get the 50% of the delegates required.

They may have to win a couple more states after that to close the deal.

I do not know the Republican rules as to what that means on the issues you are discussing.

The details are all in the fine print.

Isn't she benefitting Trump? If she drops out, the primary is over, and that takes a lot of media attention away from Trump that is a key to what he does best. If the primary goes down to the end, even if it's uncompetitive, that's a huge advantage for Trump, and takes away from the Democrats.

The Dems don't have a real primary. And it's hurting them. I mean, it's an advantage in the sense, they can keep Biden out of the view oof cameras. But it gives all the attention to Trump, and with Biden trying to hide, it takes away an advantage an incumbent president should have.

“Her dropping out would not change that.”

I suspect you are right. They wiretapped him. They investigated and impeached him with what they knew were lies. They are now trying to put him in jail.

What makes anyone think the deep state will behave properly (or even not atrociously) when he is the nominee? They will feed him knowingly false information if they give him any information at all. If they think they can get away with it, they will wiretap him again.

And then they will contrive to blame Vladimir Putin and Republicans for the false info.

The security briefing afforded the presidential candidates prior to a presidential is a general situational awareness briefing, likely a sanitized version of the PDB, and it’s prepared for the candidate by the government as a courtesy.

I would not be surprised is the current administration decides that it’s “too dangerous” to let Trump have access to any classified information and either snubs him directly (which is politically risky), sanitizes the heck out of anything they provide so it’s not useful in any meaningful way for situational awareness, or tries to plant items in the briefing (that may not even be accurate or even accurately classified, but will have classification markings) that they know Trump will blurt out in campaign appearances so they can frame him as reckless with classified information one more time.

This is essentially her “job” at the present. She is trying to establish a niche as a “respectable anti Trump” figure who can make a living appearing on anti Trump MSM propaganda platforms and collect big sums appearing and speaking at globalist conferences. Doubt she harbors any illusions of being elected anywhere significant. Could serve in some slavish, meaningless capacity in a Democratic administration.

Actually, I have heard that by her staying in the race, Trump gets formal electors for the nomination.

If she quits, the local Republican parties pick the electors, as I understand.

They will not, as you suggest. This is why when he becomes President he must utterly, ruthlessly destroy the deep state (and salt the ground so that it never in our lifetimes dare reassemble).

Of course, “they” will call this “revenge-seeking”. It is not. It is helping to ensure the survival of the America we love.

When a Republican Congress finally ends all funding to NPR and PBS, then and only then will it be clear that serious people are in power.

I highly doubt this is why she is staying in the race against Trump.
