Oh, I absolutely know the home you are referring too! I love it, and the rolling hills and creek they still overlook! By the way, that is the way I do go when headding over towards “Kelseys Store” area. Went to a small “sub” behind that store last week.
Note; I’d love to own the Mitchell house, (my wife knows those folks, I don’t).
Absolutely on the rabies. It seems to have become too common in our area. I don’t get close enough to the wildlife (knock on wood) to get exposed. Keep the crazed fox away from me...
Woodland is/has expanded their parking lot, but it’s my understanding that it will be years before they can actually afford to expand/add on to the buildings.
Hey Neighbor!
I’m in the farmland across from Woodland Baptist, and have always fed the birds year-round. We get hundreds! Don’t think Cardinals are Jays. Cardinals are in the Grossbeak family....
Haven’t had the raccoon problem, just groundhogs and oppossums.
Actually started taking the kids to Ocracoke in the 80’s. As adults now they much prefer Ocracoke over places like Myrtle Beach, as a matter of fact my son just got back from a week on Ocracoke with a few friends. Out of season the place is still quite tranquil, (and the fishing is still outstanding).
