Conversation overheard on the VHF Guard (emergency) frequency 121.5 MHz while flying from Europe to Dubai . It's too good not to pass along.. The conversation went like this... My married son just called from the hospital. He was admitted last night with severe abdominal pain. They are removing his appendix sometime this morning.

Hillary Clinton made a campaign stop at Fresno High School this morning. She was scheduled to arrive at 8:30 A.M., but kept her minions waiting an extra 2 hours before she started speaking. The MSM was there in force to cover the event. But so were a few steadfast Freepers and other Republican groups to voice their disapproval of her double-speak. In her speech Hillary left no group behind in her campaign promises. She was touting her "free" healthcare and free everthing else that she could throw to the masses.

I received an email a few minutes ago requesting prayers for our troops in Iraq due to the extreme heat. The letter then went on to state that it is 122 degrees over there right now with a low of 115 at night. Has anyone else heard about thess extreme temps ???

Please pray for my MIL. She is 88 years old and is very ill. She had a stroke on Dec 22 and spent 9 days in the hospital. She has been struggling for some quality of life ever since. She is on some many medications that we need a ledger to make sure that she takes theom all on time. She has no appetite and has bouts of naseau that are getting more and more severe as time goes by. The largest Veteran's Day parade will be broadcast nationwide on Friday morning. The parade will take place on Friday morning at 10:00 AM in Fresno California. The parade is being picked up by over 10,000 TV stations nationwide (last count). The Pentagon will be picking up the broadcast to send to the troops overseas.

After President Bush's speech an ABC new correspondant interviewed a few of those that are displaced by the hurricane. It was a priceless moment. Please prayer for a several young men involved in a horrible car accident on Sunday morning. They were returning from Sacramento to Fresno when the driver fell asleep at the wheel. Two of the young men died, one is still in the hospital and I believe that the fourth young man is doing okay, but don't know if he is still in the hosptial The driver is the young man that I know. I just got off the phone with his mother. He is out of ICU and is improving. I'm am sure that they are devistated with their son...

My son lives on the computer these long summer days. As his mother I would like to see him do more productive things, like read. So I am going to make him read a chapter or two in a good classic book for the rest of his summer. I am looking for recommendations as to what to have him read.Thanks BTW I plan on reading right along with him so we can talk about the book.
