    thanks so much, excellent information!
sounds like your church was a little more grounded...she invited me to join their bible study and all of them claim sanctification and of being spirit filled, there seems to be this attitude among these women of being higher and above most "average" christians. much of the discussion is centered around thier carnal friends and spouses and how they must convict and confront them and expose them, kinda spooked me when one claimed to be a profit, eek.
yes i have noticed the rules about no smoking, drinking ect. my son has gone to youth group with her son and they told him no baggy pants, no jewelry, no music and no tv because they were sinful, he was very confused:(
i believe in christian liberty and i try to allow my son to make choices rahter than shelter him so much that once exposed to the world he has no idea how to make Godly decisions that will effect his life. while my friend and i believe in many of the same things, we do seem to butt heads quite a bit in other areas. thank you so much for your response post, its helped me to understand better:)
do you know which verse paul considers himself a carnal christian (is it where paul says he does what he does not want to do?)
    thanks again

I hope this isnt the wrong place to ask this but havent seen any other threads. since you mentioned wesleyans i wondered if i might ask you a question.
a friend of mine belongs to the weselyan church and continually calls herself "spirit filled" (not as in speaking in tongues) and refers to most others as "carnal christians". im wondering if anyone on this thread can give me biblical references to such a thing as "carnal christian" which she said is essentially a sinning christian, but didnt God say ALL are sinners??? it does not seem biblical to me to divide christians into seperate camps, but seems it would rather give some a feeling of being elite, above others. any help would be great:)

where do the court ordered evaluators fit into the "loop"?
they must be picked by someone and most of them seem just as evil as the judges are.
i dont suppose we could be fortunate enough that judges have a "retirement age"? how long can one be on the bench?
i think its frightening that they do not have to justify thier rulings or are accountable to anyone. they can also rule on somthing and you only have 14 days to respond, they can essentially guarantee which "judge" in an appeal youll get, insuring the ruling stays the same.

err, she is getting "life" from what he did to her, why shouldnt he get life in prison, seems fair.
this judge really is evil. a friend of mine in chicago had simular circumstance with her kids, the judge KNEW there was abuse because she talked to the kids, even stated that in court, BUT went with the evaluators recomendations of more visitation anyways. this confuses me, why do the judges go with whatever a court ordered evaluator recomends, even if they dont agree or its ridiculous?? do the judges pick these, the state, attorneys??

    Wow, Thank you everbody!
    marmema,
Greek parishes? is this orthodox or roman catholic??

i will try the orthodox this weekend and see if i cant talk to the priest. my biggest obstacle will be getting my fiance to go, period. if its not roman catholic, its protestant in his eyes. i dont think latin is so important to him, thou i know he really enjoyed it, mostly its the new mass.
my problem with our parish is when i decided to re take RCIA last year, the priest that gave the lecture also handed out papers for us to read...one was on the beauty of sex, but when i got it home to read it it said nothing about marital sex and talked more about how gays have more rights now then they did in the 50s, is this appropriate?
our priests liberal side really came out during the onset of the war, i attended one of the rosary meetings and overhead the discussion in the other room, how anyone who voted for bush was a nazi. apparently there is a whole sect of liberal catholics, forget what they called themselves. anyone know? im just really confused!

    Thanks:)
heres another question (im just full of them) lol
my fiance is irish roman catholic, just getting him to go into the methodist church were our scout meetings are was a big deal!
he is really disatisfied with the mass we have. he grew up with it in latin, no hand shaking or hugging ect. little changes really bother him too ie: the parish has Christ off the cross, he says he should be on the cross, doesnt like the way communion is given ect.
i would like us to attend church together...do we go orthodox (would he, being so set in his ways?) or do we travel miles to find a different church? we live in wyo so anything else is atleast 2 hours away! if he would find orthodox more to his tastes from his earlier years how would i purpose that to him? sorry if i have lots of Q's, still learning:)

this isnt a reply to your post, im just new to posting and wasnt sure who else to click;)
i have a question, hopefully its not a stoopid one, but what is the difference between a catholic church and an orthodox church? i became a catholic about 4 years ago and have attended mass at our local parish, but our new priest is a flaming liberal! i notice an orthodox church just opened up downtown and was curious what the differnce was. thanks:)

    thanks everyone:)
someone once told me that you could hit control/alt/delete and look at whats running while your online and thatll tell you if there is spyware or viruses, but i havnet noticed anything unusual, but i know very little about computers.
ive read about open ports, but dont know how to locate those. i did have zone alarm before we had our computer harddrive erased last fall...great stuff! any of these programs you all recomended tell you what the virus is and whre it came from? im looking at a specific person that is doing this (who also accessed my hotmail and deleted all my emails) so i dont want to download something thatll just "get rid of it" i want to see what it is ect.
thanks for letting me know it could be a dirty ball..most likely the cause thou the arrow did seem to go specifically to "my documents" or "my computer". hopefully its just a coinkydink!

anyone know how to detect if your computer is being hacked and is spy ware something someone has to download physically to your computer or can it be sent via email ect? another Q-is it normal for you mouse to go off on its own, to say your documents ect?? weve had lots of computer problems over the years, we had norton, but somehow it got disabled without our knowledge..we dont know how long weve been unprotected. both of us also will get odd messages when attempting to access email or our stock page such as "access denied, too many attempts at an invalid password" when we havent accessed it for days. any suggestions would be great at how to peek in my computer:)

As a woman I totally disagree with this idea. Id much rather have a man to confess to. after listening to confessions all day hell simply check out at the end of the day and probally not remember my "specifics" a woman on the other hand remembers everything;)

ARG... having problems posting, sent off a post and it didnt go thru, system seems slow.
your attnry seems like a flake, much like my first one and second. your a brave soul to represent yourself. have you researched that states court page or law library? from what i hear judges love to hear why they can or cant do something ie: "smith vs. smith" ect. have you considered contacting a group that deals with your sons disability? they usually have legal aids and can sometimes regardless be very valuable in providing you with information ect.
i wish you all the best of luck:)

what a piece of work. can you get anything from the cops, in the way of documentation??
i dont understand the whole alimony thing...on what grounds? its my understanding you have to have been a house wife, no education...alot of "rules" to qualify for that. seems to me maybe in your current situation she shouldnt be bothering you at all over the support or the alimony, she doesnt need it.
does your son realize that your alimony is what pays for all his perks, not her? UGH, there should just be an X pit, and when you get divorced you just kick them in to a bottomless abyss! are you sure you cant somehow get a lawyer..sounds like your really getting the shaft here.
