    Logical,

Just the first part is for you, the rest is just a general rant.

You don't have to worry about your new car.

The car price today has higher than a 9% corporate tax already built into the price. The US currently has one of the highest corporation taxes of any major country. When corporate taxes go down, they charge less due to competition to maintain the same profit margins (assuming its not GM). When corporation taxes go down, businesses are more likely to set up shop in the US and employee more people. When more people are employed, less money needs to be borrowed from China to pay our bills (but that is a story all by itself)

In addition to that, you are most likely paying way more than 9% in income taxes today. With 9-9-9 your take home pay increases.

If you are not paying more than 9% income taxes today, then they need to be raised to 9% so that you can pay your fair share. That is one of the good things about the 9-9-9 plan. It does away with pitting those who pay taxes vs. those who do not. Everyone then has skin in the game. Also, when someone pays their fair share, they will begin to feel better about themselves and have a more positive self-worth.

I have read from other that have been concerned about 9-9-9 turning into 15-15-15, 20-20-20, etc. if the Dems have House/Senate/Presidency. It is no different than them increasing the current income taxes to 70% for everyone. If they control all three, they can do it, and it doesn't matter if we are talking about 9-9-9 or the current system. Now the question on if Americans will put up with that is the limiting factor in both cases.

Again, the important point is that it makes everyone equal. It unites us instead of dividing us. It levels the field for corporations as well and then lets the free market economy decide which ones work or not, not the slimy government bail outs and tit-for-tat tax favors we currently have.

Our system of government is not broken. It is doing exactly what the people wanted. Obama was totally out of control, and the last election slowed him down, as desired. Our problem is the people we elect (commies, socialists, the mob, and general USA haters), not the system as described in our Constitution.

    Flame on,
    Miloh

If you want my completely made up backstory for the movie, that is not contradicted by anything in it, use this for viewing pleasure.

    ************************************************************

After the discovery of Unobtainium, the United Nations made the mining and use of all fossil fuels illegal. All nations bowed to the global tyranny except the United States, who's population knew the threat of carbon dioxide was a lie. Much friction then ensued.

The United Nations then set the price for Unobtainium, so that all, even the poor could afford it. This made demand far outweigh supply, and soon all Unobtainium on Earth was consumed.

A clone and ruler of Venezuela for 300 years, Hugo de Chavez, decided that it was not fair that the satan USA had energy from fossil fuels so he attacked Miami Florida with an Unobtainium powered submarine. The US quickly Shock and Awed Hugo, sending his last clone to the volcano, Mount Doom. Unfortunately, this is where our hero lost the use of his legs.

The United Nations, who owned all Unobtainum corporations, then started the harvest from nearby solar systems. After all, what good is a 1000% tax on the mineral if there is none to sell. It was then that they discovered Pandora. Using the United Nations controlled media “UUC” to hide the fact that Pandora was a living world, the UN corp then commenced with the mining.

A spy within the UN “Deephack” uncovered this fact and sent word to the Free Republic, and thus Pandora-Gate was born. The USA, the last remaining free country sent a team of scientist to study the Pandorians and to report what the United Nations was truly up to.

There you go. This fits with everything in the movie and is not a spoiler.

I saw this movie and can add my 2 cents.

I heard all of the “evil corp” vs. “environmentalists” stories and almost didn't see it to support the cause, but I am such a sci. fi. junky that I went anyway.

If you don't want to see it because you don't want to support the liberals in Hollywood, then I completely understand that. But if you were thinking of seeing it and thought it looked interesting, I would recommend seeing it, in the theater.

I am a recovering environmental wacko (20 years ago), that today believes VERY strongly in limiting the fed govt to what is in the Constitution. I'm very conservative, libertarian leanings except NO to legal drugs, and YES to military+ involvment to push back the communists (and socialists..) throughout the world.

I went in with low expectatioins, because I was afraid the story would piss me off. It didn't. The things they did made sense. The “bad guys” did not have US uniforms and blue did not lead the way. They were private mercs hired by the corp, though most were ex-mil. The corp was bad in a sense, but mostly because they were blind to what was in front of them. The movie did not show the benifits of the mineral they were after, but if you think logically, there had to be some, or they wouldn't want it. To me the story line made sense and I did not link it with current day events.

The natives were not all love and peace. They had weapons, obviously for a purpose. They had violent tendencies. You cannot make direct comparisons to earth, because the ecology of the world, Pandora, is very different. Yes, some similarities to American Indians (tribal), but also differences.

They made a reference to “Shock and Awe”, but I did not take it as a negative, or saying something bad about Iraq. I just took it as it was a term that made it into our vocabulary to mean an intense attack meant to scare the crap out of your enemy. This is actually true. It can be a good or bad thing, depending on the situation.

    (Spoiler alert)
Not all sides are shown to be exactly the same. There are mercs that are good (ok one...), there are natives that are violent (lots). Probably the worst steriotype was the scientists, they were all golden (which we know is not true, cough... climategate..cough)

The world of Pandora in 3D is totatlly amazing. I am going to see the movie again just to see it. The detail is increadable. The creatures, even insects, are unique and interesting.

The romance is strangely hot. Not sure if I should say more here....

There is religion, and its shown in a good way. Take what you can get these days I guess.

All in all, I really liked the movie. If you want to stick it to liberal hollywood, don't go see it, but if you want to see an increadible world and good story, go in without wanting to link everything you see to current events, and you will like the movie.

When Ford did not take bailout money, I wrote to them to let them know that as long as they did not take any in the future, my next vehicle will be a Ford. No doubt about it.

If anyone buys a GM car I suggest that you talk them down to the best deal they will offer, and then demand they further reduce it to cover the tax money you have already been forced to put down on it.
