This has been going on forever, but in this case, it was very much heightened by Odumbass and Killary. They both campaigned on “contractor reform” and what ended up happening is the beltway bandit shell game described here.
Yeah. It’s politics. 200 years ago the rivalries between the British, the US, the Germans, Russians, French, etc was called “The Great Game” due to the competing empires or at least empire-like goals.
Now the great game is the day to day political wrangling that has to be exhausting.
As much as she’s an absolutely awful Speaker, not to mention criminal, Nancy is an expert at this game. You can’t just react to what’s going on right now, you have to anticipate 2 or 3 moves ahead (or more). Trump has been great at this so far - much much better than your average Republican - but this might be the biggest test yet.
They’ve already got US33. As it is, Marysville is far closer to Columbus (which is exploding in growth again) to the point where Dublin/Plain City and Marysville are almost together at this point.
Yeah....maybe I’m far too cynical anymore but until the “criminal referrals” are turned into indictments and actually pursued, I’ll believe it when I see it.....
I see reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit still. You completely missed (or outright ignored) my point.
Columbus is growing and has been for over a decade. There are far more job openings than people to fill them. If people are comfortable in their current jobs they won’t be looking to take new ones. There are quite a few skilled labor jobs going unfilled despite those hiring hiking up the wage rates to try to attract more people.
You don't 'beg' for workers you offer more money to get workers. It's called supply and demand.
As usual central, you're completely wrong. There are literally thousands of unfilled entry level jobs open in Columbus right now and some of them, like what EC pointed out, are literally begging for people even with increased wages. Columbus is as close to full employment as I can ever remember it right now. It's more than just factory and entry-level jobs too.
It never ceases to amaze me that for all the supposed political animals on here how BAD some of them, like you, are at actually playing the political game.
