Please pray for Elizabeth, 96 yrs old. She had a fall and a stroke tonight. Nothing broken but she was terrified, did not recognize family, couldn't speak for a while,was afraid of the EMTs. Perked up a little to let them know she will NOT go to the hospital! We called our priest. She knew him (!) and was happy to receive the Sacraments! Some language and mobility returned but she is very frail. She's always been strong in her faith and good-humored. And I was proud when an EMT asked her who the president is, she gave an enthusiastic...

My friend (Margaret) has been fighting cancer but has been told she has a few weeks left to live. She has not been a church goer for many years so does not feel comfortable calling a priest in. Please pray she finds peace, trusts in God's mercy, and receives the Sacraments and has a holy death. Thank you and God bless!

Vanity question: just saw doctor, said my cholesterol and blood sugar sky high! Politically active does not count as exercise!!!! Who knew? Doc recommended exercise bike, the portable kind. Saw some on amazon in the $100 price range. Can anyone recommend good brand? Do not need bells and whistles, just durable and simple for senior woman to assemble and fit in car. Want to be fit enough for upcoming election!

My dear friend, Pammy, lost her battle with liver disease today. She was taking care of her husband (who is in a wheelchair), her adult kids, her grandkids, and umpteen other people who needed anything. Before she got sick, she dreamed of moving to Ireland to get away from the Oh-Bamas! I don't think she even rested while in hospice care. May she rest now in the arms of her Savior. Please say a prayer for her soul and for her sweet husband, that he can endure the loss.

My Uncle, Jim Buttrey, died today. Was widowed in the 1960s, met is new wife when he was in his 80s! Came back to the Church, thanks to her. Please pray for the repose of his soul. He was a good man and a conservative, and never wanted anyone to fuss over him when his health got bad. He said his angels would watch over him! May he rest in peace.
