OK. As resident Practicing Political Scientist, I'd like to do something out of character and start a thread. A Vanity, no less. Hopefully JimRob and the admins will understand and take my years on FR and my "cranky old bastard" status into consideration and grant me their grace. Here's something that I've been thinking about recently. What with the smoldering race war evolving around us, this is worthy of discussion. Here goes. Everybody's heard the tired old Marxist definition of racism. You know, the one that says all white people are "racist", and black people can NOT be racist. Kind...

The torrid pace of Muslim migration into the United States should be sending off alarm bells in the nation’s Jewish community, but so far it has barely registered as the sound of a pin dropping. (see rest at link)

The high-stakes political battle between Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has taken a new turn, and it’s as ugly as Jerry Sandusky’s future. The Urban Dictionary, an fast-evolving online lexicon that promotes itself as “the dictionary you wrote,” has added a new definition of Reid that seems calculated to respond to the Nevada senator’s recent claims about Romney’s alleged federal income tax evasion. “Harry Reid,” the dictionary now says, is defined as “[a]n unofficial rap sheet of alleged pederasty and sexual abuse of minors by anonymous sources that may not exist.” The definition emerged,...

The Pope took a couple of days off to visit the mountains of Alaska for some sightseeing. He was cruising along the campground in the Popemobile when there was a frantic commotion just at the edge of the woods. A helpless Liberal, wearing sandals, shorts, a Save the Whales" hat, and a "To Hell with Bush" T-shirt, was screaming while struggling frantically, thrashing around trying to free himself from the grasp of a 10 foot grizzly. As the Pope watched horrified, a group of Republican loggers came racing up. One quickly fired a 44 magnum into the bear's chest. The...

Hi Fives to Bush supporters in Cuyahoga County. I just heard on Fox that in order for Kerry to win Ohio, he would have had to taken Cuyahoga County (that's Cleveland and suburbs to you non-Ohio freepers)by 250,000 votes. According to the latest reports, Kerry and the Democrats came up about 100,000 short of that number, because you bothered to go out in that crappy weather yesterday and vote. And yesterday, for the first time I can remember, our votes may have made the difference in the election. Being a Republican in Cuyahoga County can sometimes be (and usually is),...
