Hi-5s to Cuyahoga County Bush supporters
Kenton

Posted on 11/03/2004 5:09:37 AM PST by Kenton

Hi Fives to Bush supporters in Cuyahoga County. I just heard on Fox that in order for Kerry to win Ohio, he would have had to taken Cuyahoga County (that's Cleveland and suburbs to you non-Ohio freepers)by 250,000 votes.

According to the latest reports, Kerry and the Democrats came up about 100,000 short of that number, because you bothered to go out in that crappy weather yesterday and vote. And yesterday, for the first time I can remember, our votes may have made the difference in the election.

Being a Republican in Cuyahoga County can sometimes be (and usually is), a cold, lonely experience. Today, we are walking tall...

What ever came of the controversy surrounding the Cuyahoga County absentee punch card instruction "line up" issue?

Its too bad we couldn't have kicked Kucinich's rear end out of Congress and onto the pavement. I really liked Hermann. Maybe next time...

I'm proud of my fellow Michiganders as well. We may not have won it but we gave them a fight that they never expected. Remove the fraudulent votes and we probably won this one.

In the end, we blue staters helped drive the presidents popular vote tally to the highest numbers ever won by any president.

Proud to say my Bro, from Cleveland, did a lot of work for us getting out the Republican vote in the Cleveland area.

Myself, I was a lonely voice from another part of the state...my county went Dem (no surprise -
they'd vote for a shoelace if you ran it as a Dem),
BUT - My wife and I made our voices heard.

The punch cards they use weren't the "butterfly" variety, they were so simple as to be almost idiot proof. There was no way the Dems could claim that people who meant to vote for Kerry mistakenly picked Buchanan.

Ken Blackwell's office has been running ads for a month telling people to make sure they check their ballots for "Florida hanging chads", so that their votes will count.

The election went well. Ohioans seem to be sophisticated enough to figure out how to use a ballot consisting of a card and a pin. Florida Democrats in 2000 were a little more stupid than they like to admit. What can I say? :D

-"GO W! GO BROWNS!"

Although I am an Eagles fan, today - I AM A BROWNS FAN!!! Way to go Cuyahoga voters!

I was in Cuyahoga country last week on business and stopped by to visit the Republican offices in Medina and Brecksville, and I can tell you the both places were hoppin' with many volunteers and all sorts of people coming in asking what they could do to help the cause. I knew then that we would prevail.

Too bad we couldn't do the same in my home state (NJ).

OH GOP is clearly the '04 MVP. Thanks are well deserved. As much as I'd like to believe that my frenzied out of state e-mail rants to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer editorial page made a difference, President Bush owes his re-election to the OH ground game.
