Okay, I've had enough with this machine. I'm gonna use the recovery disc and start from scratch. I've installed some new hardware since buying the machine, specifically, an ethernet card and a CD/RW. Here's my problem: When I go to run the recovery disc, It won't read the E: drive that the disc is in. When you go into My Computer, you can see that it knows that the disc is there, you can click on E: and read the contents in the directory, and even click on elements the disc contains. Has anybody driven the new Accord? I'll need to replace my wife's car later this year. I recently got a Honda Pilot, and it's extreeeeemely impressive for a 7-seat SUV for <$35,000. Is the Accord equally impressive for a mid-size 4-door sedan? Particularly interested in the V-6 version.

Apologies in advance for the vanity. I've got a computer prob. I've got an IBM Aptiva w/an AMD K6-2 (?) Running Win98. The machine takes 3.5-4 min to boot up. Locks up occasionally (I know, they all do--there's more.), The hard drive has begun to fill up for no obvious reason (not properly deleting temp files???), It will NOT defrag...the defrag program will stay on for hours and never go beyond 0%, and now the computer's clock has begun to lose time, or at the very least, has lost time. MONTGOMERY - Dixie Protest A criminal justice professor is fighting a ticket she got for putting tape over part of the "Heart of Dixie" logo on her Alabama license plate. Karen Taylor, who teaches at Alabama State University, was pulled over for speeding by a Montgomery police officer last month and also cited for covering the word "Dixie" on her tag. Taylor's case was originally set to be heard yesterday but it was postponed until August 23rd. Who was the fella asking the VERY LEADING question regarding continuing to separate/segregate ballots while sticking to the letter of the SCOTUS ruling to stop 'counting' votes...did he identify himself? His question practically begged the panel to continue separating ballots and tread a fine legal line with regard to the SCOTUS decision, and he in fact predicted that, come Monday, the count would be allowed to continue... We seem to have had a series of duplicate posts lately...and a divergence of opinions on how to handle them. Part of the reason, at least in my opinion, that this is happening, is that the 'headlines' or 'breaking news' links that used to appear on the right side of the screen, are now gone. Perhaps folks who aren't able to log on every day never get to see some of the posts...maybe because they are so far down, that even after scrolling through several pages of posts, they still don't see them.
