LIFE SAVER POLL: A new poll from Life savers looks at how people consume the candy: by sucking or by chewing. The tongue-in-cheek "Hole Truth Survey" finds suckers outnumber the chewers four-to-one, The suckers are most likely to be women and Democrats, according to the poll. The chewers were men and typically Republicans.

Our niece is visiting us from out of the country and will stay till about mid-October. Mir is almost here In about an hour and a half the Russian Space Station Mir will crash into the Earth. Today Chelsea turns 21!

Freepers JosephW and Tanusha are proud to announce the birth of their son Anthony Joseph. He was born at Shawnee Mission Hospital (Kansas City, KS) at 10:40 this morning (1/29/01). To the best of our knowledge he is the first male freeper of the new administration.Both parents are doing well and JosephW can't get the smile off his face.For those curious freepettes out there, labour began at 4:30 AM and proceeded quickly and smoothly. The entire family is overjoyed including Tanusha's mother who traveled all the way from Belarus (former Soviet republic) to help us for this first year.

If there is voter fraud in FL, to whom will all this end up. If the recount finds significant (Cook county style) fraud is this handled within FL or does DC get involved (Reno)? What are the chances of ever getting the elected man (Bush) into office?

This is my third and final attempt to organize us Freepers to jointly celebrate the election, by joining together at different restaurants / meeting places across the country and watch the returns come in. A few days ago 'Tall_Texan' had an interesting post on vote swapping. He wanted to get Bush elected, and not affect negatively votes for 3rd parties. His idea was good, but left a little to be desired. The pubbies gained, while we were left just not losing. I have a modified version that may help all of us. Battleground states like Missouri where I am are critical to pubbies, they need to beat Gore, but it's too close to feel confident. This is the only place that I have seen MN results. For some reason CNN seems to have lost one of our states. Bush is winning here by a wide margin, but Keyes is in 2nd place with 3% more than McCain with 56% of the vote counted. While this may not be victory for Keyes, he has definitely topped 10%, and beaten one of the frontrunners.
