The reason is simple: Romney is not a conservative. He's not, folks. You can argue with me all day long on that, but he isn't. -snip- You know that the Republican establishment's trying to nail this down and end it. You know that that's happening, and I know that you don't want that to happen, and neither do I.

The records, gleaned from White House visitor logs reviewed by NBC News, show that senior White House officials had a dozen meetings in 2009 with three health-care advisers and experts who helped shape the health care reform law signed by Romney in 2006, when the Republican presidential candidate was governor of Massachusetts.

I think it took real courage for a major and serious candidate(Ron Paul is not a major or serious candidate) to tell the truth to the American people about social security Perry's words"You cannot keep the status quo in place and call it anything other than a Ponzi scheme,"
-
Perry's word "1200 miles from Brownsville to El Paso two things how long do you think it will take to build that, and then if you build a 30 foot wall from Brownsville to El Paso the 35 foot ladder business is real good, you got to have people on the ground." This is stupid and this line of argument, when it came from the pundits and the talking heads has been busted before. No one is saying that just build the fence and leave it there. Proponents of the fence have always said that the fence is only ONE...

Rick Perry definitely has problems not the least of which is on illegal immigration but compares much favorably to Mittens. Anyway, the presidential primary is one big jumble right now. What is more disturbing, according to me is what is happening in Congress. It is simply amazing what Boehner and McConnell got away with by selling out to Obama during the debt ceiling debacle. Right now Freedomworks, Club for growth and similar organizations are involved in primary campaigns to weed out the RINOs. I hope they succeed because that is the only way we can get new leadership in Congress....

The Bear Whisperer is a title fully befitting Obama. Every time Obama comes out and gives a big speech related to the economy, the market tanks almost reliably. I am thinking by now, market bears have become attuned to this. They probably know by now that if the President is expected to speak on the economy, its time for them to come out and do their stuff Bear Whisperer, Super Bear whatever you wanna call it he seems to have some kind of 'gift'

.....Yet, as S&P has explained, unlike the administration and the CBO, it focuses on a three-to-five year window. S&P finds that this timeframe, which is more in the control of the current Congress and president, is a more reliable predictor of financial health than illusory ten-year forecasts....

Paraphrasing Mourning Joe "The world is going to end on August 2......blah blah blah....." (If you have the stomach for it, you can click on the link, go to politico and read an amateur piece of fiction.)

For McCain, the only viable Plan B, at this point, is the McConnell plan, a legislative maneuver that would enable President Obama to raise the debt ceiling via a presidential veto. Noting that the GOP leader’s proposal is “too complicated,” McCain emphasizes that it should be supported, however reluctantly........

This guy seems intent on surrendering to Obama on the debt ceiling. How did this spineless piece of jello ever become the leader of the Republicans in the Senate?

Watch the video in its entirety please. I'm not telling anyone to go and vote for him in the primary or that he is the best or viable candidate. Heck, my most favorite candidate varies from month to month Personally I find Hermain Cain's stance on guns disappointing. But when he talks on economic policy, he is among the best out there.

USDA’s plans to forge a consulting contract with former Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod have turned rocky. Sherrod, who met briefly with USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack and his staff two weeks ago about contracting with USDA to help the department address longstanding civil rights issues has said she was insulted by the department’s initial offer. In the 2012 presidential race, New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary is make-or-break for Mitt Romney, and to win it, Romney’s campaign will need the savviest operatives it can find. But Team Romney will have to go without one key player: Bruce Keough. The New Hampshire Republican who oversaw Romney’s 2008 campaign in the Granite State says he’s no longer sure what Romney stands for.

You might find this amusing. I was looking up for some information relating to guns/2nd amendment/gun control etc. I lurk at several right wing and left wing sites of all shades and notoriety. I came across this hilarious thread. In the thread in question, we find our hero advocating for "100% gun registration". That is how it starts. Then as he proceeds along the thread he gives his reasons why. I don't want to be a plot spoiler because this is just too funny... This thread is at a well known left wing kook site. Since I don't know if...

If things remain as they are in the Republican Primary field, especially if Sarah decides not to run, then Michelle seems to be a good choice for a conservative to vote for. Nobody is perfect but she seems okay. Hermain Cain isn't too bad either. Both these people are great conservatives, its just a question of how much support they will be able to get.

I vigorously support his presence in the GOP primaries. 1. He is raising the birth certificate issue and giving em hell. So far I like it. 2. He is an aggressive candidate and not afraid to throw any kind of punches at Obama. If it is there to be attacked, Trump so far is not hesitating to attack it. Perhaps that kind of no holds barred attitude will catch on with at least some of the rest of the GOP field 3. Third and MOST IMPORTANT reason. Trump might end up doing hefty damage to Mitt Romney's campaign. That is...

"As the clock ticked down toward a federal government shutdown, signs surfaced on Friday that a deal would be struck before the midnight deadline. One telling indication was the fact that Democrats, out there aggressively defending funding for community health clinics and Title X funding, were met by mostly Republican silence. They appeared ready to back an agreement that didn't include the controversial rider concerning funding for Planned Parenthood. This might well be the face-saving concession Democrats win from Republicans as they acquiesce to $38 billion in cuts from the fiscal 2011 budget."Both Ace of Spades and hot air are...
