Where are all the Snap Polls telling us what we should be thinking? I know it's a holiday weekend, but this should have been anticipated.

The Governor went down to Florida (To the tune of "The devil went down to Georgia") Al Gore went down to Florida He was lookin' for an election to steal. He was in a bind Cause he was way behind, And he was willin' to cut a deal. When he came across a Gov'ner Knawin' on a victory and chewin' hard Veep Gore jumped up on a hickory stump and said, "Gov, let me tell you what" "I bet you didn't know it but I'm a contender in Florida too, and if you care to take a dare, I'll make ...

Why is it that NONE of the lame-stream media has figured out that Texas law doesn't apply in Florida. Every single Goron spouts the "Texas Law" sound byte and no one - even the pubbies - even questions it. Sorry, had to vent!

We've heard a lot of discussion about manual recounts and voting machines, but I haven't heard of even a single significant study. In the link shown, Mark Davis makes the following statement which I consider to be EXTREMELY significant: The National Bureau of Standards warned us more than a decade ago that the punch-out system is highly suspect, and particularly unfriendly to manual recounts. Mark has a pretty good track record. Assuming his statement is accurate, Bush attornies should be armed with that "unfriendly to manual manual recount" information before they walk into court tomorrow. A NBS study could turn ...

I did a quick scan of abc, cbs, msnbc, and fox while looking for a photo of the Florida Supreme Court justices but drew a blank. I could sure use a link to a picture of them, Daley and Christofer. An editorial cartoon is in order.

GUARDSMAN PASS (()) Good evening. I'm Keith McCord. And I'm Lisa Conley. A controversy is brewing over the use of Guardsman Pass. The state claims the road is too dangerous to drive in the winter. But the residents say they've been driving it for years to get to their homes. Now it looks like a stalemate that may wind up in court. News Specialist Jill Atwood is just back from Guardsman Pass with more. Lisa, there is a lot of he said she said in this case. Residents say they've had their own locks on the gate for years ...

Rush was just discussing the possibility of Electoral College nullification i.e. Gore will campaign to get electors to vote for him. You can bet that FBI files will be made available.

To: George Bush: Future President of the United States of America Dear George: Thursday night I heard your response to the announced DUI which you received in 1976. I heard you say what I was looking for, no denial, just a straightforward statement that you were wrong. Your answer was that you have been abstinent for fourteen years. I commend you for this. I myself struggled with an alcohol problem until I was thirty-five years old. I drove my automobile numerous times under the influence. Fortunately for the public, and me, I killed no one. I was lucky also to ...

I've been reflecting on the behaviour/characteristics of the typical Nader supporter. In general, they are arrogant zealots. I think the chances of them voting for Gore are slim and none. Besides, Nader's ego has to be as big or bigger than Perot's. Nader believes his legacy is to form the first successful third party. He certainly isn't going to encourage a shift.

I heard a clip on Fox News tonight about today's CNN/USAToday/Gallup poll which showed Bush with a 10% lead. I tried to find it on the gallup.com site, but the link was broken or at least failed to load the .asp page - even with Internet Explorer. I next went to the USA Today web site and I found a heading which reflected the Bush lead. But when I followed the link to the Full Story, there was no reference to the numbers. I then went to the CNN web site. You guessed it! No reference. My question for you, ...

Bill Krystal just reported that VOA had requested clearance from the state department of standard verbiage saying that the US would locate and punish individuals or states that participated in the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole. The State Department blocked the editorial saying that the loss of 17 lives was trivial when compared to the loss of 100+ Palestineans. I'm not sure we can wait until January 20th to remove the vermin from our White House.

MESS TEST Smear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Place a fish stick behind the couch and leave it there all summer. TOY TEST Obtain a 55 gallon box of Legos (or you may substitute roofing tacks). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen. Do not scream because this would wake a child at night. GROCERY STORE TEST Borrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them with you as you shop. Always keep them in sight and pay for anything they ...

It would be nice if peace could be achieved in the Middle East - without bribing the players with $200 BILLION U.S. tax dollars. But since the peace talks have now shut down without any measurable progress, we now have one more collossal Clinton failure. Let's itemize the Clinton Legacy: Crime Corruption The Blue Dress Waco What the meaning of is is I never had sexual relations with that woman Vince Foster ... I could go on for days. What we now have, Ladies and Gentlemen, is an incredibly lame duck. He couldn't even browbeat the Israelis and Palistinians into ...

I've been trying to locate the Uniform Crime Report statistics for individual zip codes. I assumed that the FBI web site was the obvious place to look, but came up empty. They have it all nicely summarized for the nation and region in PDF files, but not the raw data - at least that I could find. A Yahoo search came up with a nifty link on APBNews.com called CrimeCheck that permits you to enter a zip code and retrieve a map by zip code with a cime ranking associated with each. Obviously, the CrimeCheck folks had access to the ...

PITTSBURGH (Reuters) - Federal authorities have begun a hate crime investigation into Wednesday's deadly shooting of five white men by a black gunman in a suburb of Pittsburgh, an FBI official said on Thursday. FBI Special Agent Dennis Lormel told Reuters in an interview that federal investigators have notified the Justice Department about their probe and have begun working with local police who are interviewing people who witnessed the bloody rampage. ``We are now looking at this case as a hate crime,'' Lormel said. ``We have alerted the Department of Justice that we have opened a preliminary investigation.'' In the ...

I just dropped by the Washington Post web site to see how they handled the Bush win. They are leading with a headline saying Bush won in all three states, but if you click on the link you are instead taken to the Feb 23rd article where McCain won big in Michigan. Has their site been hacked? Do they have a disgruntled insider who altered the link? Is this an accidental screw-up?

FreeRepublic has been painfully slow for the last few hours. It could be that most Freepers are off for the holiday and are giving the server a real work out or maybe there is a technical problem. The following chart depicts a trace from my workstation to the FR server. Node 15 (un-numbered) is the FR server (in the lower right hand corner) indicating average response time in the 750 millisecond range. Also notice the
