Democrat Judge Blocks Texas AG’s Effort to Stop County from Mailing Registration Forms to 210,000 Unregistered Voters — Ken Paxton Fires Back with Appeal

Democrat District Court Judge Antonia Arteaga struck down a legal attempt by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to halt Bexar County’s push to mail voter registration forms to over 200,000 unregistered voters.

The lawsuit, filed by Paxton on the heels of Bexar County’s September 3 decision, sought to prevent the county from working with Civic Government Solutions to distribute unsolicited voter registration forms.

Paxton contended that such an action was not only illegal but a blatant effort by Democrat-led counties to sway voter turnout in their favor by bypassing standard registration processes.

Despite the clear warning from Paxton’s office, Bexar County pushed forward with its plans, mailing out the registration forms before the courts could take up the matter.

On Monday, Judge Arteaga dismissed Paxton’s request for a temporary restraining order against Bexar County’s plan to send out approximately 210,000 voter registration forms.

Attorney General Paxton, not backing down, immediately filed an appeal and vowed to continue fighting the “brazen” attempt to “circumvent election law.”

In a fiery statement following the ruling, Paxton called out Bexar County officials for their “dirty tricks” and accused them of knowingly violating the law by fast-tracking the mass mailout before the issue could be legally addressed.

Find out what ineligible people received registration forms and prosecute the people who sent the registration forms as suborning election fraud.

>> its proposed plan to employ a third-party vendor to mail voter registration forms to individuals regardless of the eligibility of the recipients would violate the law. Nevertheless, Bexar County approved the program the next day over the objection of its own voter registrar.

If they’ve knowingly committed a crime, then just arrest and prosecute them all. If there results have now been compromised, then the Sec. of State should declare that he will not certify Bexar’s election results, nor include them in the official state-wide results.

Seems simple enough to fix.

Send gun registration forms to known felons and then make a law that says nobody can check the felon lists to see if gun registrants are eligible. Because, after all, the registrant has to sign upon penalty of perjury that they are eligible...

Somebody should try this just to see what hypocritical comments the libs make.

Ballots in the hands of the same kind of corrupt counting machines as stole a 2-to-1 landslide from Maduro’s opponent in Venezuela are arguably MUCH more lethal to more people than a firearm could ever be. Especially when those ballots will decide whether Venezuelan gangs are allowed to take over this country for the sake of those ballots.

Why doesn’t Paxton arrest the judge for election interference and assisting election fraud?

If you’ve got an honest Secretary of State. Except even that wouldn’t work if you have corrupt judges. In AZ, IIRC, a judge was going to have people arrested unless they certified a fraudulent election. Somebody correct me if I’m misremembering.

“there results” = “their results” obviously. Mea culpa.

Of course, the SoS should wait until certification time to make the declaration to reduce the left’s reaction time.

How about stationing observers at ballot boxes set out to collect multiple ballots, and toss a harmless colored liquid in, to associate the ballots collected with an image of the perp?

(...or harmful...?)

That county’s votes should be thrown out so that the whole state’s electors are not Constitutionally disqualified because they were not chosen using the procedures set forth by the state’s legislature.

The Constitutional requirement for choosing electors is that it must be done according to the process set forth by the state legislature. If the electors are not chosen in that way, then the electors do not Constitutionally qualify. At least that’s how I read the Constitution. Of course the corrupt judiciary makes up sh!t as it goes along.

I’m sick to death of these black-robed tyrants that in our jacked-up legal system can somehow stop the will of the people. A single a-hole. Stop it all. It’s crap. Something needs to change.

This would be consistent with the lawsuit headed by Paxton and joined by about half of the AG’s in the country against the states in the 2020 election which did not obey their legislature’s laws.

Can these judges be tried criminally on conspiracy charges? Or do they have to be impeached?

“Democrat” should never ever be an adjective for a Judge -— especially NOT in Texas.

Oh, of course they went to Arteaga, the second most liberal district court judge in Bexar county.

On September 2, Attorney General Paxton warned the Bexar County Commissioners Court that its proposed plan to employ a third-party vendor to mail voter registration forms to individuals regardless of the eligibility of the recipients would violate the law. Nevertheless, Bexar County approved the program the next day over the objection of its own voter registrar. Attorney General Paxton immediately sued...

Sued? Why not arrest somebody and then go to court?

the OAG attempted to schedule a hearing on a motion for a temporary restraining order with Bexar County attorneys. Bexar County claimed that it needed more time to prepare for litigation and agreed to a consolidated preliminary hearing on September 16.

However, on the Friday before the rescheduled hearing Bexar County filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit—in which they revealed that they had been acting in secret to expedite the mass mailouts.

So arrest somebody.

Because the unsolicited voter registration forms had already been distributed to residents regardless of the legality of the contract or the eligibility of the recipients, the judge dismissed the State’s motion as moot.

The court is rewarding the criminals because the judge agrees with the crime?
