ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A strange situation spanning Adams, York, and Cumberland Counties in Pennsylvania happened early Tuesday morning. According to Carroll Township Police Department, police received a call on Tuesday about seeing a stolen bus being driven by Tony Saunders in Dillsburg at around 7:10 a.m. Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) in Gettysburg reported the same stolen bus and to "be on the lookout" especially in York and Adams Counties. Officials say officers on patrol spotted the stolen bus driving through a Giant Foods and Rite Aid parking lot. The school bus then turned west onto W. Siddonsburg Rd....

The Donkey~ G.K. CHESTERTONWhen fishes flew and forests walked And figs grew upon thorn, Some moment when the moon was blood Then surely I was born. With monstrous head and sickening cry And ears like errant wings, The devil’s walking parody On all four-footed things. The tattered outlaw of the earth, Of ancient crooked will; Starve, scourge, deride me: I am dumb, I keep my secret still.Fools! For I also had my hour; One far fierce hour and sweet: There was a shout about my ears, And palms before my feet.

The turtles were stabilized at the New England Aquarium’s Animal Care Center and were then transferred to Baltimore, according to a news release. Twenty-six Kemp’s ridely and four green sea turtles were examined in Baltimore after suffering symptoms from cold stunning: pneumonia, dehydration, emaciation, shell and skin lesions, eye lesions and blood infections, the news release said. The aquarium’s Animal Health and Rescue teams said they will monitor the turtles, with the end goal being to return the animals to the wild. Every...

So, my wife and I were looking at moving back to NE Alabama after a year displaced by COVID. We had a place lined up that fell through due to some septic issues. We've been checking out listings as they pop up and today saw a 4 bed, 2 bath come on the market with 1,911 sq. ft and 3.4 acres, that noted, "Plus Fenced in Area for Farm Animals!" So, I'm checking out the pics, and there's some kind of critter that looks like a mix between a hyena and a pig with mange. WTF is that?

My father passed away Tuesday night at 88. He was a great dad, great grandfather, USAF veteran, old school peace officer, faithful servant of our Lord, and many, many other things. He kept his body as healthy as a horse jogging on his treadmill and lifting weights up until about two or three years ago when his mind started to falter. He was the last survivor of 10 siblings, so quite literally, the end of a generation. Please keep our family in your prayers.

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A tractor-trailer crash right on the edge of Stafford County and Prince William County is causing major delays on Interstate 95. • The Last Pontiac Fiero Ever Built Is Going Up for Sale for the First Time

The Pontiac Fiero is just one of those cars that gets a bad rap. It was never quite as good as it seemed on paper, but its poor standing among mid-engine sports cars is more a result of its often shoddy transformation into European exotics. It may seem like all Fieros have met this fate, but alas, that isn't so. In fact, the final Fiero that rolled off the line has been preserved for history. Its interior is still festooned with the pre-delivery plastic, the entire exterior of the car is immaculate, and to say it hasn't been used much...

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Monday will order federal agencies to prioritize moving their offices to Opportunity Zones to spur investment in some of the nation’s poorest neighborhoods, The Post has learned. The move will apply to all federal agencies and asks that they stop prioritizing city centers and central business districts and instead base themselves in any of the 8,769 low-income communities designated as Opportunity Zones by the Trump administration... ...A senior White House official said the order would see immense federal resources poured into distressed communities and also drive down the high cost of locating government offices in...

Dutch photographer and digital artist Bas Uterwijk shines a light on what iconic figures from history might have looked like in real life. By using various digital manipulation tools, he is able to create photorealistic portraits of famous artists, leaders, mummies, philosophical thinkers, and even the models of paintings. Based in Amsterdam, Uterwijk has a background in computer graphics, 3D animation, and special effects. He uses a well-known image of each subject to transform them into a photographic portrait. For instance, the enigmatic Mona Lisa is reimagined as a real person with barely-there brows, luminescent skin, and bright eyes. Even...

On Tuesday morning, my 86 year old dad, accompanied by my 85 year old mother, two of the most devout Catholics I've ever known, went to church for an hour of adoration. While there, my dad suddenly began experiencing violent chills, and my mom took him to an Urgent Care who referred him to the local ER. He was admitted to the hospital where he has been ever since. Doctors initially ran some blood tests and found what they believed was a blood infection; however, his fever subsided and he has stabilized. At first the doctors thought the culture may...

Like the Challenger disaster or 9/11I will never forget where I was when I heard Katie Couric break the story that Dutch skaters were so proficient because of the proliferation of canals in their country, I was here in Louisiana, rowing my pirogue down the bayou on my way to work. Anybody else care to share where you were and what you were doing when you first heard the news? Where were you, and what will you tell your grandchildren?

"...The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is...

My good buddy Ranger suffered a severe stroke sometime late Monday early Tuesday of this week. I've been working with the vet trying a few different meds to try and remediate the effects, but nothing has worked and there has been no improvement to his condition, and he's paralyzed on the right side from the neck down. He is comfortable and can drink his water when I hold his head up over the bowl. We have an appointment for 8:30 in the morning, at which time we'll do what's necessary and Ranger will slip this mortal coil. Please keep...

PHOENIX (KPHO/KTVK) - A terrible case of animal abuse half a world away will have a happy ending in Phoenix. Animal welfare activists in South Korea rescued a 2-year-old golden retriever mix from a black trash bag on the street. They said she was part of an underground dog-meat market, but was thrown out after her paws became wounded and infected. The "butcher" thought her meat would be rancid, according to the rescuers. The group named her Chi Chi. (Read rest of story at link)

“The adventure began when we left the driveway,” says Larry Shank. “And that’s what was neat about the Jeep and the teardrop; you became part of the country from day one.” Shank is the proud custodian of this 1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3B and 1947 Ken-Skill Kustom Kamper Model 10, both bought by his father in period and used during their entire lives by his family for exploring the U.S. while on vacation. Traveling off the beaten path may seem extreme, but he has a different perspective: “You arrive not exhausted but exhilarated; because you’re already there, you’re already on vacation…”...

"Thomas Cole, America's premier landscape painter of the 1820's and 1830's, constructed the idea for his series, The Course of Empire, from a variety of influences. He began his intense study of Europe and its art in 1829 by sailing to England, where he met and talked with influential artists such as J.M.W. Turner and John Martin. He studied the works of those artists and others in the British galleries of the time. Scholars recognize today that those artists' influence upon him was strikingly pervasive. Cole also felt the perishability of man's works when he traveled in Europe and saw...
