I woke at 4:15PM, still groggy from the previous night's work. Deployed to the Iraqi Freedom operational zone, we are tasked with maintaining the C-130's that are flying cargo and troops everyday into and out of Iraq. I stood in the hot afternoon sun with my peers in the Texas Air National Guard. It was the 10th Anniversary of our unit's return from Desert Storm.
