I haven’t seen any evidence that commies are going door to door. And if they are that’s what the Second Amendment is for.

I have, however, seen evidence the government is lying about some of the shootings by immigration enforcement officers and that these same immigration officers think they are above the law because of it. If you think Rambo with a badge is going to check if you voted for Trump before shooting you in the face, I’ve got a bridge to sell you. So yes, you’ll forgive me for thinking the government is a bigger threat right now than random soyboys.

I think you misunderstood my question. I asked you to name one concrete benefit to the American people of this deal. Will it lower grocery prices for struggling Americans? Bring back manufacturing jobs for our unemployed young people? Restore American health care to pre-Obamacare prices? Lower our federal deficit? Reduce our taxes? If you can explain how this Greenland deal will help with any of the above I’m all ears. Otherwise Trump should do the job he was elected to do and not spend money we don’t have on foreign adventures.

In response to your points:

1) I don’t care what Denmark pays Greenland. I care about America.

2) We already had a perfectly good base in Greenland.

3) This is good if Greenland has minerals that can’t be found in the US, but if they can be supplied domestically they should be. Mining jobs should go to Americans first.

4) They already weren’t welcome in Greenland, so this changes nothing.

5) Only in a world where military bases magically spring into existence. In the real world building bases costs money.

Young men in particular were willing to vote for Trump when he promised them jobs and relief from inflation. Then Trump started throwing around talk of foreign wars (plural) and surprise, surprise, young men don’t want to be drafted to fight overseas. Prices never did return to pre-Biden levels either.

Is anyone surprised that ratings have declined? Who wants to watch a bunch of Hollywood narcissists give woke speeches while they accept awards for movies that the critics tried to persuade audiences were blockbusters? These same critics, by the way, were not even required to watch the entirety of the movies they were reviewing until recently.

Trump should embrace the possible. Release the damned Epstein record stash, and stop covering for his pedo and influence peddling buddies. And stop with the massive foreign aid and adventures. Trump is the one with no principles.

I'm not convinced the savings on foreign base expenditures you mention are enough to pay for this "massive armada" Trump's talking about. And I just got off a thread that says Trump wants to build more bases on Greenland, so I don't think cutting down on the number of US bases is a priority for him.

But if they already paid for the bonds what does it matter if they sell them off?

If US bonds are seen as a risky investment the interest rates on our existing debt go up and we will end up paying more just to maintain our current debt levels. Just like an individual with bad credit will pay higher interest rates for a mortgage or credit card than an individual with good credit.

Didn't we already have a base in Greenland? And "reports"...I've heard "reports" of a lot of things. I'll believe it when I see actual photographs of the new bases.

Nor do they bring grocery and health care prices down. They also tend to make the deficit worse. The GOP is in for a rough midterm if Trump doesn't start putting America first. This isn't what we voted for.

I don't know where you heard that, but the US Treasury begs to differ. That $1 trillion figure I mentioned was just for fiscal year 2025. It doesn't even cover the $38 trillion we still owe from previous administrations.

People think of California as a super-urban state, but we actually produce 1/3 of America's vegetables and 2/3 of her fruits and nuts (not just talking about San Francisco either!). You probably don't need as many fruits and vegetables as the "experts" claim, just sayin'.
