In honor of Mother's Day, let's discuss this trivia: How many women can you name in the genealogy of Jesus Christ? If they tried really hard, most people can name at least two: the first and last. Can you name more?

One of the major causes of "food insecurity" is that low income people often have problems with money management. This is well demonstrated by people using their EBT money on junk food when they first receive a deposit on their card and then having no money/credit left at the end of the month. The once a month delivery made sense when the stamps were sent though the mail, but now everything is down on a debit card. It seems that it would be simple to change the card to a weekly or even daily dispersal instead of once a month....

Authorities in Australia have arrested close to 200 people for deliberately starting the bushfires that have devastated the country, yet the media and celebrities continue to blame “climate change” for the disaster. The fires have caused at least 18 deaths, destroyed thousands of homes, millions of hectares of land and killed hundreds of millions of animals. A total of 183 people have been arrested by police in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania for lighting bushfires over the last few months, figures obtained by news agency AAP show. In New South Wales, 24 people were arrested for arson, risking...

My 8-year-old grandson plays with fire. On Sunday he set a tree on fire. I have NOT found any local programs to deal with this issue. Nor have I found any videos to show to children with this problem. His mother (my DIL) isn't interested in discipline. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Opening a second Election Day polling place in Dodge City is impossible, an attorney for the county clerk at the center of a growing Kansas controversy over voting rights said Monday. An 18-year-old Dodge City resident and a Latino civil rights group are suing Ford County Clerk Debbie Cox in an effort to force her to reopen the polling location used by Dodge City’s 13,000 registered voters before Cox moved voting to a site a half mile outside the city limits. Attorneys for the resident, Alejandro Rangel-Lopez, and the League of United Latin American Citizens clashed with attorneys for Cox...

We already know that most Republicans support amnesty just as passionately as Democrats, much as they support the key elements of Obamacare. We learned yesterday, in one of the most spectacular acts of perfidy ever against the citizenry of this country, that most top Republicans support open borders for the current wave of illegals as well as for the future waves, until the end of times. For years, conservatives have been begging House Republicans to use the power of the purse in the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bills to stand for our borders, fight sanctuary cities, defund amnesty, and...

Are these detained illegal immigrants with small crying children allowed to be released on bail? SJW's should flood the immigration courts, offering to post bail, even placing their houses up for bond, to get these suffering parents and children released to them. Then they can make sure that the immigrants show up for court.

Could you help me with a comparison between Otto Warmbeir and Michael Brown? Otto went to North Korea with a group. Accused of a crime he was sentence to prison and killed. People hold back their sympathy saying, "He shouldn't have gone to North Korea." "It's his own fault for being stupid." etc. Michael Brown lived life as thug. When he attacked a police officer, the officer shoots and kills him. Millions are outraged, the police officer is brought to trail, and though acquitted, he is threatened, and harassed. The family sues and the city pays them off.....

What is marriage? What is the purpose of marriage? What does it mean? I am asking this of a culture where it is normal to live together while unmarried, have children and give them names of either parent. Marriages don't necessarily last longer than just living together, so it is not a lifetime commitment, i.e. 'til death do us part.' The law no longer distinguishes between having a marriage license or not when people separate.... So with 'marriage' having lost any significance, what is the purpose of a wedding? In the past, a wedding celebrated the beginning of a new...

There was a post a few years back that compared the federal budget to a family's income. I am trying to come up with a current comparison for my grandchildren who are 'feeling the Bern.' Is this close to accurate? US Tax Revenue............$3,200,000,000,000 Federal budget............$3,700,000,000,000 New debt.....................500,000,000,000 National debt............$17,000,000,000,000 want free college?.......$45,000,000,000,000 for illegal aliens,too...$??,000,000,000,000 Now remove 8 zero's to compare it to a family's budget: Annual family income..................$32,000 money the family spent................$37,000 New debt on credit cards................$5,000 outstanding balance on credit cards...$170,00 junior wants free college..............$45,000 free college for his friend, too.......$??,000 neighbors medical bills................$??,000

I always thought the religious history of England was so silly. They started off Catholic. Then when Henry VIII had a dispute with the Pope, he started his own church. And he demanded that everyone in his country join his new church. He even killed some who opposed the change. When his daughter Mary became Queen, the whole country had to revert back to Catholicism. She killed some people too, acheiving the nickname "Bloody Mary." When Mary died and Elizabeth became Queen, the whole country had to change religions again. This happened many times in Europe and it all seems...

WICHITA, Kan. — The Sedgwick County District Attorney is alleging that a foster father was high while a baby was left in a hot car last week. She later died. Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett read the allegations during a bond reduction hearing for Seth Jackson on Friday afternoon. Bennett said that Jackson had run out of marijuana on the morning of July 24. That afternoon, he reportedly took two children to meet with his drug dealer where he bought more. When he got home, Bennett said he left the 10-month-old girl in the car, went inside and smoked...

Wichita police say a 10-month-old baby was left alone in a hot car for two to two and a half hours Thursday afternoon. The girl was found dead at around 6:40 pm in the 1500 block of S. Topeka. Police say the girl's 29-year-old foster father picked her up from a babysitter at around 4:00 in the afternoon. They returned to the home along with a five-year-old child. Police say, somehow, the child was left behind in the car as the 29-year-old and the 5-year-old went inside. The foster father's partner, a 26-year-old man who is also a foster parent,...

Salinas police killed a man earlier today, claiming to the local media that they were in fear for their lives after he had waved a pair of garden shearers in their direction, indicating he was going to shred them to pieces. But then a witness posted a video online, contradicting those claims, showing the man trying to walk away from the cops as they move in on him barking orders with their guns drawn. Read the statement below and view the video above and tell me what you think. According to the Californian: Attempts at hailing the man in English...

On Mother’s Day Tommy Yancy, father of two, was pulled over for not having a front license plate. What transpired beyond that point is not totally clear, but his injuries resulted in his death. Yancy, 32, was a veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan. There has been almost zero media coverage of the incident. A local publication, Imperial Valley Press, offers only a sidenote about his family raising money for his memorial and this: The 32-year-old Yancy died following an altercation with law enforcement during a traffic stop May 11 in Imperial. The circumstances around the death and the traffic...
