President Joe Biden was slammed on social media on Thursday after he claimed that the blame for the ongoing border crisis falls on conservatives, whom he says have failed to pass “the toughest border enforcement in history.”
Biden posted on X on Thursday evening, blaming former President Donald Trump and Republicans for rejecting legislation that partly addressed the border crisis. The president’s focus on illegal immigration comes just months before the 2024 election, and voters have suggested that illegal immigration will be the biggest issue determining how they cast their ballots.
“Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican allies don’t care about securing the border or fixing America’s broken immigration system,” the president wrote. “If they did, they would have supported the toughest border enforcement in history. Instead, they put partisan politics ahead of our national security.”
Republicans and political commentators were quick to point out on social media that Biden terminated Trump’s strict border policies and diverted funds away from building a wall along the southern border. Fox News reporter Bill Melugin said the president could even take executive action immediately to reinstate the Trump-era emergency declaration and address the illegal immigration crisis.
“One executive action Biden could take is to reinstate the national emergency declaration at the border that he terminated immediately upon taking office & declared to be ‘unwarranted,'” Melugin wrote. “3 yrs later, Biden himself has said border isn’t secure, & his DHS Secretary admits a ‘crisis.’”
Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) slammed Biden for the post and called the president a liar, writing, “On the very first day of your regime, you reversed President Trump’s policies that DID secure our border. Americans see right through your lies, Joe.”
Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY) said that Biden was attempting to “rewrite the story.”
“You reversed @realDonaldTrump’s policies, creating this disaster. The toughest border enforcement in history is HR2 – the legislation @HouseGOP sent to the Senate over a year ago. Don’t rewrite the story,” the congressman wrote. “This is the #BidenBorderCrisis. You. Don’t. Care.”

After reversing Trump’s policies three years ago, Biden has pushed for Congress to address the border crisis, claiming he doesn’t have the constitutional power to take the necessary action on illegal immigration.
House Republicans rejected a bill that was introduced in the Senate in February, with Republican leadership saying that the legislation “fails in every policy area needed to secure our border and would actually incentivize more illegal immigration.” Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) added that he would not “support a bill that doesn’t secure the border, provides taxpayer funded lawyers to illegal immigrants and gives billions to radical open borders groups. I’m a no.”
The Senate bill was also opposed by Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, who called it the “stupid bill.” Biden has criticized his Republican opponent for coming out against the bill, arguing that Trump is only doing so for political reasons ahead of the election.
“The illegal Aliens that are pouring into our Country are taking over our cities and attacking our police,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social Post earlier this year. “They are forming gangs, and they are tough. Close the Border, you do not need a ridiculous Border Bill that will allow 5000 people into our Country a day. Call it the ‘Stupid Bill’ and make sure it doesn’t get passed. It will make things MUCH WORSE. CLOSE THE SOUTHERN BORDER, NO BILL NECESSARY!!!”

He should be blasted for the claim. He has all the authority he needs in law right now, just make a declaration to detain or prevent immigrants. He can do it one by one, or country by country, or region by region. And if he wanted money to enforce his proclamation or build more barriers, Congress would give it to him. That isn’t what he wants. He wants more immigrants and more money for immigrants and using the pretense of “reform” to try to get it.
We live in a time where it is more and more difficult for the establishment to gaslight us. Alternative media voices are everywhere and can be seen at any time. Hence this push against “disinformation”. They can’t stand to lose control of the narrative that empowers their skulduggery.
This was a major point in Johnson’s efforts to get something passed by limiting the border entrance to 5K releases a day. The current amount is over 11,600 a day with more than 10K new people a day arriving at the entrance points.
There’s no way either side is going to shut down the border and if they do it will just increase the swimmers and government flights scattered over thousands of miles along the south. There will be absolutely no control at all.
