In 2007, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick made headlines, but it wasn't for his performance on the field. Set up on the grounds of his Virginia home was Bad Newz, a pseudo kennel that was really a dog-fighting business stocked with 51 pit bulls. AUSTIN, Texas — Texans who love guns and pickup trucks with equal fervor could soon have the right to keep them together all the way into the company parking garage. The Texas Senate gave unanimous approval to legislation Wednesday that would allow people to carry firearms to work and then store them in their parked vehicles outside. Businesses could still keep guns out of their offices and company-owned vehicles. But the bill, a top priority of the National Rifle Association, would no longer let employers ban guns in company parking facilities — as long as they remain locked up inside...

Prayers are needed for Brother Dix as he is about to go into surgery. He had an automobile accident this past Sunday night and broke his leg. Thank God for airbags as his BMW was totaled. At least he gives as good as he gets, the other Beemer was totaled too. Unfortunately it is his good leg that was injured so it is going to be even more difficult during recovery.
