Republican Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville said today “people should be arrested for what they did” in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, and he “stands behind the Capitol police 100 percent.” ... It “never should have happened,” Tuberville said. “Whoever came in broke things, hurt people, fought the police. They are police, that is their job. And people should be arrested for what they did coming into the national’s Capitol like that and destroying things.”
