48%???? I live in Turkey and was watching bbcworld and they can not stop talking about how his approval ratings are in the low 30's. Last week one of the reporters said 20's. It is nice to see that the only english news agency I have access to on the tv is accurate.

So this means that the left is in favor of free speech (even when the speech is incorrect) except when it makes them look bad??? To bad the media wont play it up that way. They will make it seem that some ultra-conservitive is trying to make the Innocent demos look bad.

As an American citizen living in Turkey, I'm in Istanbul, I don't think it is anything to be to worried about. It seems to be only in a few places in the far eastern part of the country.

And for the record, I have been here for 1.5 months and I have not eaten or seen any Turkey (the meet). So for now, unless the liberals start acting up, I think that Thanksgiving is safe. I hope...

Does everyone realize that if President Bush or any other American leader where to say things about Germany or France or any other country, especially after a major crisis in that country, that they along with the liberals would start screaming bloody murder. Why is it that they can scream attacks at us all day until they are blue in the face but if we WHISPER an insult at them they get hopping mad. I guess I will never understand why we have to be diplomatic but they do not. Perhaps he needs to remove the log from his eyes before he tries to remove the speak from ours...Just a thought
