What strikes me after the obvious disgust is the look on the people's faces. Maybe it's just me, but it seems as if they're amused and somewhat amazed by her lack of solidarity with her own people. I'd imagine if I were "palestinian," I would find that sort of contempt for one's own people/country puzzling, yet amusing. How sad--I suspect one day, if she grows up, she'll be ashamed.

Correct, however, it has been my experience that the teachers conciously subvert the parents values. Being from CA, you ought to see that clearly.

That's exactly why we homeschool. Besides, even if the teacher isn't consciously subverting values, the curriculum is.

I used to think that Islam was a peaceful religion until I did some research and read the Koran. Unfortunately, you're right: it is a violent, intolerant religion. With the unfolding of events past and present concerning Islam and my newfound knowledge of the Koran, I have a dreadful feeling about all of this.

I pray our campaign will defeat them soundly, not just stiffen them for the next round, so to speak. These people's thought processes scare me.

These people are seriously deluded. It is so frustrating to read their garbage. Their dreams of "utopia" will never come, and if anyone adheres to their foreign policy recommendations, we will all die.

Wow, that is awful, I had no idea about all of the foreign student pilots in this country--there are definitely drawbacks to being a free society. Not that I would want to change that or anything.

As far as the Florida comments people are making--I don't blame you! My husband and I joke every time there is a serial killer on the loose, ect. "Why look anywhere else, he's probably here!" And, more often than not, they are.

Sigh... Between the election and this, it is starting to get *really* embarrassing. All we need now is Reno as governor. AAAHHH!

Note: I noticed that some reports coming out are saying the sticker on the car seized is an UAE (United Arab Emirates), so I may have misheard the report and thought it said United Airlines. Sorry.

Note to self: clean out ears. I read the article posted above, it says a UAE sticker. I must have not listened well. My apologies for posting bum gouge.

I live in Florida, and the daytona journalist that I heard I *thought* said the car had a United Airlines sticker in the window and I also heard about the bin laden picture in the car as well. More than likely they won't find him, his ashes are probably floating around New York City or D.C. Someone who worked at this place where the car was felt it was suspicious and called police. It must have been conspicuous, so my thinking is perhaps he left it there because he wouldn't be needing it any longer... a long time lurker posting for the first time today...

You can see what I saw on the local news in Fl here about a seizing of a car that had strange evidence in it. I am not certain of its accuracy, I wasn't really listening as well as I should have when it came on and the guy was talking fast. You can see it at the other thread HERE.

Okay, I live here in Florida, and a journalist from Daytona came on and said that details are sketchy, but they found a car that they are towing off that belongs to a former (as of June) student of Embry Riddle, it had a United (or American-it was one or the other) Airlines sticker in the back window, and I am *pretty sure* he said there was a picture of Osama bin laden in the front seat of the car--bizarre. I can't be sure, the guy was talking so fast. He said something to the effect of a picture of him and the car. Please don't flame for not knowing exactly what he said--it's my first post, be nice. I swear I am not making this up. I was hoping they were going to go back to it, but the newscast was over. I wish I had paid more attention now, I thought it was going to be more of the same. Sorry, maybe it helped. A longtime lurker, squinting at the light...
