So, we get to pay for the privilege of having the Feds spy on us? No thanks; I'm all for stopping terrorism, but this too much big brother for my tastes and having to pay more taxes is the icing on the cake of my opposition.
The AP is making a mountain out of a mole hill. Justices recuse themselves all the time, for a variety of reason. Sandra O'Connor recused herself from cases dealing with compaines she owned stock in numerous times.
Well, if the airport is still closed to commercial traffic, I don't know how they will fly you there. I'd write the FAA and see if they can put pressure on the airline. Not sure what to do about the hotel.
From what I can tell, he's been in the city directing what is left of the city workforce. The only time I've seen him on TV was when the President came to tour the damage.
Just wanted to add something. Mayor Nagin was on TV Saturday night after getting a call from the NHC director; he pleaded with the public to get out of town. I thought I remember him saying that state law kept him from ordering a mandatory evacuation during nighttime hours. Does anyone familar with LA law know what that is all about?
There is plenty of blame to go around on all levels of government, but neither Mr. Ebbert or any one else's finger-pointing is getting those people out of the hell hole that is New Orleans at this moment.
